Lipids are needed to produce a covid vaccine...
There is discussion in Australia that we should start producing Pfizer....
This would take our incompetent fools years....
The lipids would all have to be imported from overseas....
Unless SloMo can produce them out of his arse....which currently he cant find with both hands.....

This link suggests an urgent need for Australia to make our own
mRNA vaccine...
Yet when a Brisbane company develops a covid home testing kit....guess what....
Our government is not interested.....
SO they sell it to the US...
We (the government) dont want a home testing kit which can give a test result in 15 minutes....
Yet we (I assume) are considering making our own vaccine...
....with lipids which have to sourced from overseas, in competition with the rest of the world
for those lipids....
No wonder the government is considering enlisting (pardon the pun) the help of the
Army in the vaccine rollout....
Simply put....this is all too hard for politicians....

I compare the home testing kit to the numerous tests which are available in Australia for the early detection
of illnesses such as prostate cancer, breast cancer, skin cancer, cervical cancer, bowel cancer...etc etc...
I think our government is being very conceited in saying that the test was not necessary in Australia due to our
success in handling covid. From memory that was why they didnt secure the test for Australians...
If the test was used in Australia in conjunction with other defenses, we would see similar benefits
to those which we see in early diagnosis of the above diseases....

We don't need home testing kits but I would like to see us making use of antibody tests though. It might allay a lot of fears in those who are terrified of the virus.

We cannot be 100% isolated from the world, there will always be some visitors, human and animal, who can bring the virus.
