Home quarantine - this doesnt make sense

Our illustrious federal governments most recent thought bubble is to float the idea of home
quarantine for Australians.
This is the total opposite to hotel quarantine which is currently in place in Australia.
In Qld, for example, we have read about those in quarantine who didnt even have a
window/balcony in their rooms.
There has been reports of people not even being able to go outside for a smoke.
People have supposedly caught the virus as it floated down hallways and in and
out of the air conditioning like it was playing snakes and ladders
Rooms have been deep cleaned as though the cleaners were searching for gold....
People were served their food at the door by people in hazmat suits.
There was discussion about people only being permitted to open their door
for a minute or two.
NOW suddenly the government is talking about just letting people come home
and live in quarantine in the comfort of their own homes...
..providing theyve had the jab....
Will they be able to collect their mail from their letter box.
Will they be able to chat over the fence with their next door neighbour.
Will they be able to go out and buy food or visit their doctor.
What about people who live in high rise apartments.
Will they be able to avail themselves of any facilities within that building
such as the lift to buy food, therefore mingling with other people.
Will everyone still have to wear a mask in their own home.
There was talk about people being quarantined for 5 days only.
Why the sudden shift in restrictions.
This is ludicrous policy on the run from a government shooting from the hip.
It is going from the extreme of a hotel quarantine system to the extreme
of permitting people to just go home to their families.
We are supposedly in the middle of a worldwide pandemic where everyone
is being coerced into getting the jab.
Are we in a pandemic or not...
Why are they floating the idea of home quarantine...
To suggest this idea twelve months ago would have been laughable..
This is just another government carrot to coerce everyone to get the jab
as quickly as possible in a vaccine rollout which has been a debacle from day one.
Just another way to line the pockets of the airlines.....
All this whilst we still dont know if the jab prevents transmission,
and knowing that it certainly doesnt stop you from getting the virus.....

Its called coercion in getting people to get them to get the jab and promising them
travel as a reward...plus lining the pockets of airlines....
It wasnt that long ago that they were talking about sending people to Rankins
Springs for quarantine and building new quarantine premises in Toowoomba or Gladstone
and the airport in Melbourne....
Suddenly, in the middle of a "pandemic"...they are talking about sending everyone home
to quarantine in their own premises.....
Take your blinkers off for a few seconds.....

Home quarantine would be a good thing for those who adhered to it. The problem is that too many people just snub their nose and go out and do their own thing even in hotel quarantine.

I'd be happy to do home quarantine after travelling overseas but if had the jab I wouldn't expect to have to quarantine period. The only way to enforce quarantine would be by way of ankle bracelets.

They always have been but this is new ground and I would give them leeway if only they gave us all the facts. The problem is I don't think they have all the facts themselves. They rely on too many 'experts' and things keep changing.

Quarantine, when properly managed.. works!
I'm not sorry that peeps in quarantine are sick of it... perhaps we should use those refugee camps to house them.. plenty of fresh air there!

This is not Russia....
If the jab is so good and someone has the right to travel overseas....with the jab...
are you trying to tell me that upon his/her arrival back in Australia, they then have
to stay at home wearing an ankle bracelet....
I suppose they would also have to wear three masks...
This is getting more and more ridiculous by the day....

Well I'm not saying that at all. What I did say was that if I had the jab I would not expect to be quarantined at all but if I didn't have the jab I would be happy with home quarantine if I'd travelled overseas.

Maybe not ankle bracelets lol. But if I could travel overseas without having the jab I would be happy to be monitored at home on my return.

Can't have it all ways.
