Deaths from covid in the USA are totally irrelevant.
They are also doubtful, as it is well known that financial payments have been
made in the US for deaths "caused" by covid.
The comparison therefore to Australian deaths is meaningless...

The fraction of deaths in the USA = 575,829 dead divided by 331,002,651 total population = 0.0017396.

Multiply 0.0017396 by the population of Australia: 25,499,884 people = 44,361 people who would have died.

That is over 43,000 people - in fact it's over 44,000 people!

I believe it is still offered to everyone.
it is recommended only over 50's have it.
I think it is overly cautious, but can see a reasoning. We have no covid here so CAN be overly cautious

I wonder what the real reason is for the AZ jab to be curtailed in many countries.

that under 50s should consider Pfizer in lieu.

In my opinion, the bullshit reason that we and everyone else is being given about blood
clots hides the real reason this jab has been shitcanned worldwide.
The numbers dont add up.
2 blood clots in 350,000...compared to god knows how many clots for women
who take oral contraceptive pills...
The mind boggles..
An example could simply be that the jab enlarges the prostate....
Cant tell anyone that...
