I wasn't interested and I didn't watch it but bits and pieces were repeated ad infinitum for days later and Harry did seem a bit chagrined in the parts I saw. Maybe he didn't feel right about doing it but he was there, and did, and needs to own it.
The timing was very poor form imo.
