It could only happen in Australia....
In the "middle of a pandemic" with the need to vaccinate the entire population
being so urgently thrust into our minds by our politicians, Victorian vaccine hubs decide to
take the entire Easter weekend off.....
I would have thought that the jabs would have continued over the Easter weekend, considering
how urgent the entire scenario is....
No.....Ostrayans take a four day holiday.....
WHY am I not surprised......

Nobody (and nothing) works at Easter or Christmas. Public Holidays mean double time, I think, so "too expensive" for certain places to operate.

And public service NEVER WORK after hours or for even 1 second beyond quitting time.

Oh Yes they do, to make up "Flexitime" or at least they used to when I worked for the Federal Government. I caught some bloke who always left on the dot of 4 pm, sitting at his desk, reading the paper. I asked what he was doing and he said "making up some flexi". I didn't believe people could be so lazy until I worked in the public service. Not everybody was like that but gee, a lot of them were. Couldn't work in an iron lung comes to mind.

I once caught a punter doing that.
I asked him when he signed on...he told me half an hour ago....
I then asked him to give me all the work he had done since then....
He replied that there was none...
I immediately adjusted his sign on time to half an hour later...
He moaned...
I ignored him...
These days, Id imagine that this would be regarded as harassment...
Needless to say, I would not be popular in the workplace these days.....

In one place, I had the same fool accuse me of being late into work. You can start from about 8 am to 9.30am in the PS (or used to). I had a young kid to drop off at school, so I arrived in the office at 9am and left at 5pm (she went to after school care). He accused me of being late. I asked him what time he got in and he said 8 am. I then asked what time he left and he said 4pm. Told him 9-5 is the same as 8-4. Foot in mouth disease. That bloke actually reminds me of Bwian Woss (from OzPol). Thick as a plank.

I find it hypocritical (getting back on topic) that watching the NRL and AFL on the box
that no-one is wearing a mask and no-one is socially distancing...
YET the music festival is cancelled in Byron Bay due to 1 case, and as far away as Lismore, Ballina and
Tweed Heads, everyone has to wear a mask in shops and malls....
All I can think of is that covid doesnt buy tickets to the aft or the nrl....
BUT it must have bought tickets to the music festival..
Going to a restaurant yesterday, I had to wear a mask to go in, but no
mask when I sat down.
I couldnt order at the bar, had to sit down, but the waiter didnt wear a mask
as he walked back and forwards from the bar...apparently we arent allowed to stand up
and mingle....apparently covid sneaks past if you are seated...but will grab you if you stand up...
I got up to take a slash and had to wear a mask to the toilet.
Upon returning to my table I could take my mask off.....
Whilst drinking, I didnt have to mask...
When I left, I could take my mask off.....
Of course, none of the punters notice this....
Of course they dont...
BUT then again, most of them have given up..
I think thats called conditioning...

This goes against the dogma from months ago that people with underlying conditions with not long to
live shouldnt get the vaccine....
Watch the government spin on this unfortunate death...
Of course it will be reported as a death from natural causes....
Maybe it was recommended by her doctor that she received the jab...maybe
she wanted the jab....who knows....

I see that the UK is going to offer a non AZ jab to people under aged 30.....
Arent all the jabs as safe as a bank...
WHY offer an alternative....
AN alternative to what...a more risky jab...with a less risky jab....

I've had loads of vaccines, including ones for remote areas in SE Asia, Jap encephalitis and rabies (3 jabs in a month and it was awful) but honestly, I'm more afraid of the covid vaccine than the actual disease.
