I thank you both for the kind comments. The feelings are mutual. We don't ALWAYS agree with each other, but you both make your arguments well and respect the opinions of others. Isn't that why we are all here?Nom De Plume wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 1:12 pmI concur with Sprint. You are a pleasure to read, Tex. And, yet again, you make valid points.
If, a clinical psychologist happened upon this forum, I expect that they would say something similar to Texan's summation.
I also expect that they would question the motivation of an unqualified forum member, assuming the mantle of clinical psychologist in order to question the mental health, or lack thereof, of other members on this and other forums. Perhaps they may have an educated diagnosis of such a person who would do such a thing.
Like Tex... Just sayin'.

Re: Antisocial Personality Disorder
I dont think anyone can tell if someone has a personality disorder, or merely a personality trait.
It would take a clinical psychologist to ascertain if anyone had a disorder.
Anything else is mere speculation.
A disorder is always impairing or distressing, whereas a trait does not result in functional
impairment or clinical levels of distress.
Someone might exhibit a borderline personality disorder, but even that is also speculation.
A disorder has to be habitual, severe and consistent.
A trait may be consistent, but wont effect your entire life.
An example of a personality trait is being introverted...
Nothing wrong with that...but its not a disorder...
