You have to be careful trying to label people. I'm not a very social person. I don't care if people I don't know and work with/for know or like me. I could pretty near live as a hermit and be happy, but I don't use people or treat them poorly. I just expect to benefit from my efforts and discipline and I am happy with the love and respect of people who I care about. I just say be careful about labeling someone in your personal life because that could have dire unintended consequences and it could make you what you are accusing them to be. And I'm not pointing a finger at anybody here either, just sayin'.
You are a wise beautiful man
I concur with Sprint. You are a pleasure to read, Tex. And, yet again, you make valid points.

If, a clinical psychologist happened upon this forum, I expect that they would say something similar to Texan's summation.

I also expect that they would question the motivation of an unqualified forum member, assuming the mantle of clinical psychologist in order to question the mental health, or lack thereof, of other members on this and other forums. Perhaps they may have an educated diagnosis of such a person who would do such a thing.

Like Tex... Just sayin'.

The fact is that many of them have been kept out of this forum.
Your experience here is better because of that.

I'm not saying you shouldn't defend yourself or let poo flingers run your life. I'm just saying to be careful not to become what you don't like. Point out people's mistakes all you want, but trying to diagnose and label others over the internet is also poo flinging. Its glorified name calling. At some point it may become necessary but don't be that guy who lives by insulting people.

It's reasonable to label instances and patterns of behavior and if they occur often enough to characterise a person as such, so be it.

I used to think like you when I was much younger -
I refused to judge people and unfortunately
it was a very costly experience in my life as a result.
I mixed with bad people and I still regret it to this day.

I judge people all the time. We all do. I'm just suggesting that we say what we say to someone's face instead of trying to get an agreement from others to validate our opinions. And again, I'm not accusing anybody here of this.

That's OK.
What I'm saying is that you have been shielded on this forum from
a number of people who have Antisocial Personality Disorder.
That's all thanks to BO for keeping them out.

And I appreciate it. Rather than deal with a bunch of feral poo slingers, I would probably just move on and so forum administrators can make a choice on who they want on this board. BO made her choice and I am still here. The next administrator may think differently and I would have to reconsider my attendance, but we all have the freedom to make these choices and that's all I ask.

I don't know much about psychology and behavioral disorders, so I suspect my contribution to this thread is about done. Rather than trying to categorize and diagnose people, I prefer to address the merits of their argument or tell them that they are abusive and out of line and sometimes ignore them if they become annoyingly abusive. I did troll an abusive poster once and goaded him into getting himself banned on another forum once. He doxed a moderator and made fun of his wife and tried to dox me. He couldn't get my info so he just insulted my wife. (who is actually stunningly beautiful) I let administration play god as this is THEIR world and not mine.

What can we do about people with antisocial personality disorders? Are you talking about the state doing something or just how mods or forum posters deal with these people on the internet?

That's up to the administrators. You could end up talking to an empty room if you run too many out. I'd rather leave it to admin and deal with the peanut gallery in my own way, or find another place to graze. It's less stressful for me.
