This is madness..
There is bedlam at air terminals...
All because an incompetent Qld government havent got the intelligence to contract trace
people who met with 4 persons who contracted the conjob19 virus...
4 people....
AND all of this 10 days after Dr Skeleton said that there would be no more lockdowns....
Unbelievable what the peasants of Australia tolerate...
ALL of this on a day where SloMO appointed the Prime Minister for Women...Marise Payne...
SloMo is toast...
And the rest of us can eat cake....
When are Australians going to revolt...
They wont...but they will meow....
To discover those who rule over you, first discover those who you cannot criticize...Voltaire
Its coming...the rest of the world versus islam....or is it here already...

Other than when I when I was sick, I haven't missed a day of work. I have eaten out almost daily and stayed in dozens of hotels. I only wear a mask in church, hospitals, or when work makes me. If store owners demand I wear one I take my business elsewhere and try to shop local business as much as possible.

I've had it nice here. Texas was only locked down for 6 weeks and the mask mandates weren't enforceable because it was a governor's order and not a law. I still respect private property rights and business can demand what they want.

I would be interested Red in your opinions of the numerous snap lockdowns Australians
have had to endure in the last 12 months...and if in your opinion this should continue to
occur, and how its going to effect the economy, and how many jobs will be lost, and what
Australians should do about it...
Sorry...Im asking too much.... :rofl
I think the proof is in the pudding as they say!

A few days lock down here and there with quick location of the source of the outbreak is hardly going to cause the economy to collapse imo

Australia is one of the best performing countries in the world in regard to the virus.

I think the short few days shut downs which is what we have now is the way to go.

Meantime we are now locally producing and rolling out the vaccine (which I have had my first shot of) so occurrences should reduce.
The way I saw it is during this pandenmic we can have a damaged economy OR many dead AND a damaged economy.

Unfortunately the poor are getting much poorer.

We can't just keep having people showing up at airports to fly somewhere after 3-4 previous attempts only to be told while they are checking in "too bad so sad we changed our minds and you have to go home" in the blink of an eye.

No. I've had 2 surgeries in the past year, but neither was covid related. Just once in late July 2020. I still have the antibodies for covid. I test for them every month. I've always been of the mind that we need to protect our vulnerable and everybody else live with the level of caution that you want. If you want to lock yourself home or wear a mask all the time, that's your call. We won't ever get past this fiasco if we all cower in our homes and wait for the government to tell us how to live our lives. That invites even bigger problems.

Someone correct me if Im wrong...
This most recent outbreak in Brisbane in my opinion was caused by a traveller
from PNG.
We all know that PNG has a lot of covid cases.
We all know that travel from PNG to Cairns was banned.
BUT there was no ban for travellers from PNG to other parts of QLD.
Two of the cases this morning were announced as being from PNG.
None of the media have raised this point...
This is a total stuffup by the Qld government.
ALSO to blame lack of vaccine supply, not knowing when Qld is going to get
supplies is garbage.
This is supposed to be life saving vaccine..
Why cant the government trace the vaccine like we trace a parcel from A to B.
Our governments couldnt organize a choco vine over a shithouse...
Nothing ever changes in this country... :rofl

Fair enough.
I don't think we have a Covid anti-body test available in Australia.
A hospital I asked didn't have anything last November.

I donate plasma at a local blood bank. They screen all donations for covid antibodies and they have recruited me to donate specifically because of my antibodies. I could probably sell my plasma for $150/month, but I've donated whole blood at this place for almost 40 years and it's for a good cause. Besides, I don't have to deal with the bums selling their plasma for beer money. They do give me a t-shirt every time I donate and they usually give me a $20 Uber card or something of that nature. Also, by giving at Carter Bloodcare, if I or anybody in my family need a transfusion there is no charge. I've given gallons.
