Why are men so unsupportive with each other ?

Why are men here and elsewhere so uncaring to other men?

I'm not sure what you are talking about, but men in general don't like to show vulnerability. It's hard to help someone who doesn't ask for help. I go to friends before strangers on the internet unless I want an anonymous and unbiased opinion.

Behavioural conditioning.
Men dont seek help because they feel vulnerable/embarrassed to do so.
Women however, are more nurturing and if a woman has a problem, most
women will sympathize and support each other.
In other words men arent nurturing of each other..
I have always been happy to help someone if asked, if I could...

My mother died over 10 years ago and
now my father is dying in a rest home.
As far as I know he's bedridden and in pain.
I can't even go and see him.

It's terrible.
I heard my father's voice on the phone -
he sounds very weak and was slurring his words.
He said " I'm not long for this world "

We don't let animals suffer like this yet it happens to humans -
our own loved ones.

yes, men also often build a wall of bravado around them.
A wall of 'crass humor' or endless hah-de-ha silly.
A wall that stops communication

The Govt has denied my application to leave Australia to visit him

yes, because other women listen more compassionately and accept more.

Men do not listen compassionately, so they do not ........ hear other peoples real comments.

I think it depends on how deep the friendship is. Male or female.
