In the pursuit of the narrow-minded goal of simply destroying Trump’s entire legacy, Biden made what is perhaps his most criticized and deadly move to date, halting the process of lowering the price of life-saving treatments for low-income Americans.

During his first week as president, Biden signed an executive order freezing Trump’s previous order forcing health centers to reduce the costs of insulin and Epi-pens to those who need those medications but cannot afford them.

Trump’s original order giving a hefty discount on the two life-saving medications would apply to individuals whose insurance have a high cost-sharing requirement, have a high unmet deductible, or have no health care insurance.

President Joe Biden signed an executive order Thursday afternoon reinstating American taxpayer funding for abortions overseas. In typical fashion, he described the procedure as "women's healthcare" and accused President Trump, who repealed the measure, of an "attack on women's health."

President Joe Biden has rescinded an executive order of former President Donald Trump that was designed to prevent foreign countries meddling with the U.S. power grid. Trump's order specifically prohibited "any acquisition, importation, transfer, or installation" of bulk-power system (BPS) electrical equipment by "foreign adversaries."

Portland, Oregon, Mayor Ted Wheeler said Monday the ongoing criminal destruction and violence occurring in his city, which has been the epicenter of protests against racial injustice for eight months, is “unacceptable.”

At a news conference Monday, Wheeler also said he had filed a police report about an “incident” that happened to him, but he did not elaborate. Later, his office said in a statement that the mayor filed a police report over something that happened Sunday evening.

“The mayor is cooperating with the police investigation and encourages others involved to do the same,” the statement said.

Wheeler, who was reelected in November, has been targeted before by left-wing demonstrators, including some who smashed windows and set fires inside his condo building.

Earlier this month, Wheeler was accosted by a group while he was dining at a restaurant outside in Northwest Portland. A member of the group started swatting at Wheeler as others yelled obscenities at him.

On Monday, Wheeler said people participating in criminal destruction, whom he described as “thugs” and predominately “middle-age to young white men,” should be arrested, investigated prosecuted and held accountable for their actions.

“I will never support acts of criminal destruction and violence. That is not how we make political points in the United States of America,” Wheeler said. “We are actually, unfortunately, seeing this growing trend towards people saying, ‘If you don’t agree with me politically then we are going to come after you — either physically, or we are going to come after your home, or we are going to come after your place of business.'”

For months demonstrations were held nightly in Oregon’s largest city, following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May. Many ended with clouds of tear gas and clashing with police or federal officers.

Most recently, on Wednesday following the inauguration of President Joe Biden, more than 150 people gathered outside the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement building in Portland’s South Waterfront. Portland police said protestors were throwing rocks and eggs and vandalizing the building. Six people were arrested and officers declared an unlawful assembly.

The demonstration was one of several that took place that day — earlier far-left protestors smashed windows at the Democratic Party of Oregon building in Northeast Portland.

Eight people were arrested.

Wheeler said he was proud of the police response Inauguration Day.

“Arrest them, do the investigative follow up, prosecute them and have them feel the pain of the poor choices they have perpetrated on all of us in this community,” Wheeler said about protestors partaking in criminal activity.

Along with prosecuting, Wheeler said he thinks those who have vandalized buildings should have to sit down with business owners and employees to hear how their actions have impacted them.

“I will say it again: I do not support criminal destruction and violence from the far-right,” Wheeler said. “And I do not support criminal destruction and violence from the far-left.”
