I got home from work about lunch time and was about to take a nap before MT came home and cooked me a giant meatloaf, when my evil dispatcher called and is sending m to Monroe, LA to repair a downed unit. Happy birthday to me. Fast food and hotels are in my near future.

In the field, we have a man overseas in Japan, a man down with covid, and my hernia. The office is still shut down because of a covid outbreak and they are all working from home. I was supposed to have my surgery tomorrow, but my boss begged me to put it off until next week. Our company is in chaos and work isn't slowing down. Good times. At least I have a good job and am getting a very steady paycheck.

Bummer Tex. Happy birthday whenever the big day is. It's good you have the steady work though.

I ended up in Monroe LA for my birthday. I went to Chili's and had a chili burger with avacado. I got a dessert to celebrate and went to bed early.

I'm home and will have surgery in the morning. I should be home shortly after lunch.

My neighbor's 22 year old daughter is almost finished with her quarantine in Korea. She arrived there a couple of weeks ago and immediately got sick with the covid. She's OK now, but she was on oxygen for a few days. She was home on leave for the first time since going into the Army in July and was all over the place. There's no telling where she picked it up. I'm glad she didn't get sick until after leaving for her grandmother's sake.

My son just killed a possum in our back yard near the chicken coop. Marsupial rat.

LOL I like possums. They're cute but not if you have fruit trees.

I do have a peach tree, but its Winter and I'm more worried about the chickens and wild animals spreading disease to my small pets.

I had an eventful morning. I drove across Dallas to work in an ice storm. I passed a Mexican couple who flipped their old Suburban on an isolated road. They were shivering while they tried to call somebody to pick them up. I gave them a lift to a McDonald's down the road to wait for their ride. They were banged up a little bit, but unharmed. I heard on the news that there was a 100 car pileup in Fort Worth and 5 people died. A big semi truck plowed through a stuck Land Rover in the pile up. I saw several wrecked and overturned cars. I'm back home now for the day.
