Democrats Are Already Ditching 'Unity' to Take Major Action Against Republican Lawmakers.

If this is the kind of “unity” Democrats have in mind for the next few years, American democracy might not survive it.

In the aftermath of Wednesday’s incursion into the Capitol by a mob of supporters of President Donald Trump, Democratic lawmakers in the House and Senate are seeking the most extreme punishment available against Republican colleagues who had nothing to do with the violence.

And it should be a warning of what’s ahead.

In the Senate, according to Fox News, Rhode Island Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse issued a statement Monday calling for Sens. Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley to be punished for their well-publicized objections to Electoral College votes that made Joe Biden the president-elect of the United States.

Besides Cruz and Hawley, he also cited Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

According to Fox, Democratic senators who have called for Cruz and Hawley to resign include Sens. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Patty Murray of Washington, and Chris Coons of Delaware.

The argument made by people calling for Republican's to resign is that they gave legitimacy to a conspriacy theory for their own political gain, which in turn led to these riots. Josh Hawley, for example, was amoungst the earliest to say that he would challenge election results at the certification, and raised a fist in support of the rioters. Fellow Republicans have begun to riducule him and his own major financial backer has called for his censure.

Louie Gohmert, also mentioned, Advocated for 'violence in the streets' as a measure to prevent Biden taking office, and also supported the wild claim that the VP could overturn election results.

Mo Brooks had this to say:

“Today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking ass,” said Mr. Brooks, Republican of Alabama. “Are you willing to do what it takes to fight for America? Louder! Will you fight for America?”

In fact,this same article explains quite succinctly as to why these Republicans have frankly brought this upon themselves, which the Western Journal totally ignores in order to make its point.

Personally, I have no problem with the election results being challenged at every step. No challenge has yet revealed any significant issues with the election, and I frankly doubt they ever will. The problem is the speech and rhetoric around these calls that is the problem. If I could propose one thing, it's that if you support Republicans exercising their rights to try and force investigations and challenges to the election, than surely you would agree that Democrats also have the right to exercise their's. A censure is a formal process to respected as much as any other.

A migrant caravan moving from Honduras toward the U.S. border is calling on the incoming Biden administration to honor what it says are "commitments" to the migrants moving north, amid fears of a surge at the border when President-elect Joe Biden enters office.

More than 1,000 Honduran migrants moved into Guatemala on Friday without registering, The Associated Press reported. That is part of a larger caravan that left a Honduran city earlier in the day.

Cloaked in an appeal to unity, President Biden’s inaugural speech hit all the expected themes of racial resentment and blame.

The next four years will likely be one long anti-white-privilege struggle session.
Any real effort to close racial achievement gaps, such as fighting the “acting white” ethic that prevents many inner-city children from trying hard in school, will be deferred and discredited. Biden is betting that white liberals, at least, will continue hanging their heads in penance for their hereditary crimes and trot off to their latest show trial. Given past behavior, he’s probably right.

He's racist through and through and always has been. I loved it when he said about Obama “You got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
