The Rules of cricket.

Post by billy the kid » Mon Jan 04, 2021 11:14 am

Reading all the kerfuffle about the cricket and the crowd of 25000+
Plus the possible boycott by various players...
Plus the fiasco of players having to stay in their hotels during the match...
Im wondering if the match is abandoned....would that be considered a forfeit by India
if they dont play.....

I read somewhere that four or five Indian players have been reported as refusing to comply
with any restrictions such as staying in their hotel room etc...
I suppose if the 4th Test is not played in Brisbane, but played in Sydney, will that
then be the 5th Test, due to the abandonment of the Brisbane Test, or will it still be
the 4th Test...Im just exploring the conjecture for something to do....

The Indians who are breaking the quarantine rules should be taken to task. If we have to follow the rules then they need to too. If they don't like it then too bad.

They've been eating inside restaurants when they shouldn't have been and they think they can do what they want because nothing will happen to them.

Put them on a plane back home, give the win to Aus and that will solve everything including the 25k at the SCG. Arrogant jerks.

Apparently due to an internal revolt, the ACB has kowtowed to the Indian players demands and will
allow the players to do as they please during the Brisbane Test...
Dont know if this carte blanche will occur in Sydney...
BUT seriously....they are cricketers....
They should be treated as Gods.....
Goes to show how gutless we are........

This is tyranny....
You cant go to the cricket if you live in certain suburbs...
Even if youve tested negative...
I see...
What about other sporting events......soccer...etc....
What about if you live in Berala and work in Coogee.....
Can you go to work....
BUT its all under review....
IN other words...they dont know...
Plans could change up to the first ball....
WHY....
This is a total clusterfuck......
Weve put up with this incompetence for almost twelve months.....
What a screwup.......we're all in this together...... :rofl :rofl :rofl

Its a debacle...
Im beginning to think that it would only be a forfeit if Australia actually went to Brisbane
and was prepared to play.
I dont think that will happen...
Unless they negotiate more with the Indians (insert here "appease them")
I think the Brisbane Test will be played in Sydney...
Of course, if there are more covid outbreaks in Sydney, another Test
might even be played without spectators....
BUT no problems if you want to join the toffs and go to the Opera.... :rofl

Indian spectator Rishi Aryan, who was seated in the same bay, told The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age on Sunday: “All these boys were doing is a bit of sledging of the player on the outfield. First it was Bumrah then they had a sledge against Siraj. They kept calling him Shiraz and all that crap. Next thing you know they said: ‘Welcome to Sydney, Siraj’ and then he got the shits. That was literally it. Then he walked off.

“I don’t know why [the police kicked the men out]. Next thing you know you see police everywhere. It didn’t make sense. It was confusing.”

Another spectator with his family believed there was nothing racist said. He also corroborated Mr Aryan’s statement that the phrase "Welcome to Sydney, Siraj" was used.

Racial abuse? What a load of hog wash about nothing.
