I just found out something interesting about my friend, Robert, with the covid right now. When he was 20-21 in the Army, he made a suggestion that saved the Army millions of dollars. The Army was going to reward him and gave him several options. 2 of the options were a 5 digit cash reward or a flight in a fighter jet. He took the cash and gave it to the Make A Wish Foundation. Make A Wish provides for the wishes of children with terminal cancer. I've always known he was a very nice kid, but this confirms it for me. Anyway, I'm proud of my friend and thought I'd share that with ya'll. I just found out through the grapevine. He has never bragged about it.

He's a star Tex, In these days of rampant greed, he gets 5 stars, Im not sure that as a young man I would have been as generous as that ,And if I had I probably would have bragged,

I'm with you P. At that age, I was pretty selfish. Marriage and fatherhood has tempered me. I'm still not a pleasant and outgoing person, but I'm not irresponsible and I consider others.

That's just because I view myself as an outsider. I can't jump in with both feet criticizing your countries and how they are ran because it's not my country and your policies don't directly affect me. At least, until one of you criticize my country in a way I think is not deserved.

That's just because I view myself as an outsider. I can't jump in with both feet criticizing your and how they are ran because it's not my country and your policies don't directly affect me. At least, until one of you criticize my country in a way I think is not deserved.

Tex, your are a very balanced poster, I would not take offence to any critical observation that you may expound on New Zealand , Im a fan of your country. like all places you don't have to dig to deep to find some flaws, But if I had a choice of places to go 'the US would be at the top of my list

So far it's just medical workers and first responders. My cousin is a county sherrif's investigator and part time Federal agent. He was forced to get the vaccine and he's not happy about it. My other cousin is a nurse and I haven't heard whether or not she has had the vaccine.

My opinion is that I don't want a vaccine as long as I have antibodies, but there are 2 vaccines. The Pfizer vaccine alters your DNA and that scares me concerning long term effects. The Moderna vaccine is a typical create antibodies using dead samples of the virus type vaccine and I would rather take that one if given a choice. I think we've had a couple of million doses distributed in Texas alone.

I've worked so many hours this week that I haven't been keeping up with the news. I worked 17 hours straight on Wednesday. An ancient piece of equipment broke in Shreveport LA and we were stupid enough to take it under maintenance contract. I had to use a $30k power supply board to fix it.

I don't like the idea of the Pfizer vaccine at all and will avoid it at all costs. I'll die fighting if they try and jab me with that. I haven't really heard much about the Moderna vaccine though.

I appreciate your concern, I doesn't change your DNA, , RNA is a gene or number of genes ,it just teaches your body to recognize a gene within the covid virus and attack it , But having said that I will certainly be more comfortable when a few million peeps have tried it before my name comes up lol

I'm obviously not a medical person, but I'd hate for my body to learn to fight something that I might find beneficial down the road. I could see us developing a need for something that only the government can provide. Then they would own us. I know that is a conspiracy theory stretch, but if they could get us into that kind of position I think they would.
