Turkey is in the oven and I'm making Trifle now so it can soak up all the flavours for tomorrow.

I offered to smoke some meat, but my mom wanted to have the meat catered. The 9 of us on my side of the family will be getting together on Christmas day. My SIL is a very proactive nurse and her son is Type 1 diabetic, so we aren't going to have a big get together this year. We may pop in and exchange gifts, but an extended dinner isn't going to happen. We still have Christmas shopping to do. We've been working so much that we haven't shopped much. I kind of like it that way. My boys are all adults now. No need to go overboard. We still spend on the granddaughter.

What about social distancing and lockdowns due to Covid?

5 of the 9 of us have already had the disease and have the antibodies. My brother, his teenage daughter, and my parents haven't had it yet. My brother quarantined with his son last month, so he was most likely exposed. We have been careful to not be around my parents when we could be sick. My parents want to see their grandkids and there are no lock downs in Texas. Social distancing isn't mandatory. They are just guidelines. We intend to eat until we pop, watch a football game, and play 42 all day. Merry Christmas.
