We've had some obstacles, but my family has done well this year. I didn't miss any work or income with the covid, except for a month of paid quarantine. My family has had the disease and we seem to have some immunity or resistance to it. My youngest is in college, Mrs Texan is working, and my parents are all doing well. I can't complain. Merry Christmas all.

Turkey is in the oven and I'm making Trifle now so it can soak up all the flavours for tomorrow.

I offered to smoke some meat, but my mom wanted to have the meat catered. The 9 of us on my side of the family will be getting together on Christmas day. My SIL is a very proactive nurse and her son is Type 1 diabetic, so we aren't going to have a big get together this year. We may pop in and exchange gifts, but an extended dinner isn't going to happen. We still have Christmas shopping to do. We've been working so much that we haven't shopped much. I kind of like it that way. My boys are all adults now. No need to go overboard. We still spend on the granddaughter.

What about social distancing and lockdowns due to Covid?

I'm exhausted this year. I do all the food. Add to that my youngest's birthday is 3 days before Christmas and I do all the food for that too. Having at least part of it catered next year sounds really good to me.

You'd be very welcome Bobby. I always have way too much food so there's plenty!
