Six Little Stories
"SIX LITTLE STORIES" well worth the 30 seconds to read!
{1}
Once all villagers decided to pray for rain.
On the day of prayer all the people gathered,
but only one boy came with an umbrella.
That's FAITH.
{2}
When you throw babies in the air,
they laugh because they know you will catch them.
That's TRUST.
{3}
Every night we go to bed without any assurance of being alive the next morning, but still we set the alarms to wake up.
That's HOPE
{4}
We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future.
That's CONFIDENCE
{5}
We see the world suffering, but still we get married and have children.
That's LOVE.
{6}
On an old man's shirt was written a sentence
'I am not 80 years old; I am sweet 16 with 64 years of experience.'
That's ATTITUDE.

(1) They werent praying for immediate rain, so no need for a brella
(2) Its not trust its ignorance, lots of babies are dropped\
(3) we do it out of habit nothing to do with hope
(4) Im comfortable with confidence on this one lol
(5) its called brain washing, Personally, If I could go back and do it again I wouldn't have kids
(6) Dementia

P, There's no need to piss in her Cornflakes. That's rude.
Nef, My former preacher used to use your first example. I miss him. He is 90 years old and about to retire. We moved away 17 years ago. Bro. Bob is the wisest and most Godly man I have ever met. I sometimes write him in when voting for President if I don't like either choice.

Re: Six Little Stories
It's the first example which makes no sense to me. It focuses on the one boy who carries an umbrella so, with the focus being on him, that isn't faith.
Faith would be to focus on the rest of the villagers and not even mentioning the one with the umbrella.

The boy is the only person exhibiting faith because he is the only one that is prepared for his prayers to be answered. Why pray if you don't believe?Black Orchid wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 1:41 pmIt's the first example which makes no sense to me. Re: Six Little Stories
Just for your information the "Six Little Stories" text was sent to me by an American epal who attends Church every Sunday. A Pentecostal Church.
I know nothing about Church or religion. I'm a Reformed Agnostic.
