Mahuta was born in Auckland in 1970. She was educated at Kura Kaupapa Rakaumanga school in Huntly and later at Waikato Diocesan School for Girls as a boarder. Her lack of sophistication concerns me , Maori have a real sense of entitlement here, she will be a nobody when she heads offshore , There is a reason why we have never had a female in the role before and that is because a in lot of countries we trade with woman are considered secondary citizens , so it will be interesting to see how that pans out, Its a case of ."when in Rome does as the Romans do " you will not change these countries cultures by sending a women , it may just end up isolating us ,
