His first wife, Diane Cilento, accused him of abuse and later he went on tv saying it can be warranted to slap women so I don't really see how long he was married to his second wife as being relevant.

German chancellor Angela Merkel has responded to the news that the known attacker was an Islamic State sympathiser, saying Islamist Terrorism is a “common enemy,” Reuters reports.

As if she isn't exponentially responsible for these attacks in Europe herself.
