Victoria's Department of Health and Human Services has issued a new health alert after recording

seven new cases of the virus


- one of which is a student who attended school.

The fresh cases are in the city’s Preston area and with one case affecting a student at East Preston Islamic College.

Families and staff at East Preston Islamic College and Croxton School are being urged to get tested immediately even if they do not have symptoms, and stay home until they receive their results.

The rise in cases comes after just one new case was detected on Friday.
No deaths were recorded Saturday.


Premier Daniel Andrews is set to announce the easing of more restrictions across the state, including the early opening of “major” retailers and eateries.

Sweden didn't have strict lockdowns.

Using Sweden's policy that gave 588 dpm.
In Australia we would have had 588 x 25.5m =
14,994 deaths.
We have had 905 deaths so
we would have had 14,994 - 905 =
14,089 extra deaths.

That's a lot of coffins - and a lot families crying.
