Wonder if Gladys will go ?

Post by Juliar » Wed Oct 14, 2020 11:32 am

Poor old Gladys could not get a bloke and so she fell for this bloke.

She reminds one of Juliar Gillard.

Calm, controlled and focused. A "workaholic goody two-shoes". Absolutely committed, perhaps too much, to her job.
Those are the words often used to describe New South Wales premier Gladys Berejiklian - and in fact, she would likely agree with that common assessment.

The 50-year-old is the first to acknowledge she has perhaps sacrificed a personal life - she is not married and does not have any children - in pursuit of her political career.

What drives her fierce work ethic? The knowledge that she is only alive due to pure luck.
"I'm very lucky… for me every day in life is a bonus. I had a twin sister and she didn't make it," she told The Australian in 2019.
"It was just luck that I came out first. Imagine if you had a twin - you came out first, they didn't make it.
"I feel like I've got to justify my existence by sacrificing. So I don't care if I'm not happy all the time. I feel like I've got to work hard.

Ms Berejiklian's parents are Armenian and her great-grandparents were victims of the horrendous Armenian genocide, which killed more than 1.5 million people between 1915 and 1917.

Her grandparents fled to the Middle East, and her father was born in Syria, later emigrating to Australia with his young family in search of a better life.
When she first landed in Australia as a primary school student, Gladys did not speak a word of English. She still speaks fluent Armenian to this day.
She soon found immense joy in her academic studies and quickly made sure she was always top of the class.
Ms Berejiklian joined the Young Liberals at university and the rest, as they say, is history.

She is a pretty good immigrant.

How could she fall into such a hole ? Then they say love is blind.

But can she survive ? After the dismal performance of Mrs Pallachook and Dictator Dan and the previous NSW Labor "Govt" she should be untouchable as she is a jolly good premier.

Agree she is a very good premier and thats coming from a lefty!

I am a bit concerned that the challengers are circling her, not to mention the press searching all he meetings history back to her treasurer days.

I think both the federal and NSW oppositions need new leaders

I agree with your thoughts on McKay cods

And I think federally Albo is a nice fellow, but is not cutting through as an electable opposition leader,

admittedely its a hard time with all the press Scomo is getting with the Coronavirus splashing money around, that labor is reluctant to criticise.

Amid all the kerfuffle of Gladys and her failed relationship we have everyone bleating
about the Star Chamber aka ICAC, its abuse of powers and smearing of reputations.....blah blah blah....
AND we have various politicians supporting poor Gladys and various media outlets wetting their
panties about how Maguire is so scurrilous and poor Gladys is just a victim of a failed relationship....
ARENT we forgetting.....
Gladys Berejiklian is the Premier of NSW.
If she didnt know about Maguires "activities"...she should have....
We all have our opinions....
Poor Gladys is receiving all the sympathy because she is a woman....
If this had happened to a man, he would have been shitcanned to kingdom come and back......
Gladys is popular and well respected by all.....
Does that mean she is simply exonerated....
It wasnt that long ago that she bleated her apologies over the Ruby Princess debacle...
Surprise surprise....everyone forgives her....
It appears that all she has to do is apologize again and everything will be apples......
NOT in my book.......
The words "I dont want to know about it" come to mind....
As they say in the classics.....
"Whatever do you mean.....!!!!"
To discover those who rule over you, first discover those who you cannot criticize...Voltaire
Its coming...the rest of the world versus islam....or is it here already...

Even Gladys would be confused and she is a brain amongst the political drongos - particularly those in Labor.

Is she being attacked because she is a woman ? A la Juliar Gillard ?
