What will happen if the vaccines in testing are all a bust? You can't stay in house arrest forever.

Dan is hoping for a miracle vaccine but
it always seems 3 months more away.
We already ran out of patience 3 months ago.
We're sick of it.
The other hope is that Donald's treatment
is a good possibility as a cure
however that is anecdotal and we can't base a cure on one patient.

Dan will stand on the beach and command the tide to stop.
He's that powerful - you know.

Forgetting all the nonsense you wankers are going on with!!!
It will be interesting to see what changes they come up with from tomorrow as the target average below 5 or whatever it was seems unlikely to be reached any time soon!
Interesting times especially in Melbourne!

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news ... rol-methodThe World Health Organization’s special envoy on COVID-19 urged world leaders this week to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method.”
“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Dr. David Nabarro said to The Spectator’s Andrew Neil. “The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”

Victoria has recorded
12 new cases of COVID-19 and one further death
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-10-11/ ... d/12751928
Close contacts of known COVID-19 cases in Victoria must now be tested before leaving quarantine or face another 10 days in isolation.
Key points:
The next step of eased restrictions in Melbourne is likely to be smaller than in the state's roadmap
There were 10 mystery cases recorded over a fortnight
The death is the first recorded coronavirus fatality in four days
The state has recorded 12 new cases of COVID-19 and one further death, keeping Melbourne's 14-day average higher than the target for the next step of eased restrictions.
Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said while 10 of the new cases are still considered 'under investigation', two of the infections were linked to an outbreak at Box Hill Hospital and there were "a couple of family outbreaks".
The city's fortnightly average of daily cases has fallen from 9.4 to 9.3, while in regional Victoria it remains the same at 0.4.
The number of cases in Melbourne with an unknown source in the two weeks to October 8 sits at 10.
Those identified as close contacts of known cases are already required to quarantine for a fortnight, but the new rules will give the state the power to keep them for a further 10 days if they refuse a test on the 11th day.
Health Minister Martin Foley said the end of the 10-day period was when health authorities could be "absolutely sure" the incubation period of the virus had passed.
He said it was "a very, very small number of people" who had so far refused testing while in quarantine.

The state is also introducing a fine of nearly $10,000 for regional Victorian businesses who do not take "reasonable steps" to ensure their customers are legally allowed to be outside of Melbourne.
Mr Andrews suggested restrictions would likely be eased in a series of small steps, starting from October 19, rather than introducing the full suite of third step measures outlined in the state's roadmap.
He said there would be "significant" movement but any next steps "had to be safe".

We'll have to learn to live with the virus and
many people will die - maybe even me too.
Even a vaccine may only be 40% effective.
