I was a bit skittish without my own laptop.
The Asus review the best for reliability over the long term. My last one lasted over 8 + years. Pretty happy with that.
Replaced a HDD a while ago, had a major seize up last week and decided better to buy a new one.

Like a big screen, got a Vivobook, 17.3' screen, $1700.
Very light, very fast just found out how to turn the keyboard backlighting off.
Use my thumbprint to turn it on.

I've had mine for about 6 years and apart from the battery not holding a charge anymore it's fine. I hope it stays that way for awhile longer. Fingers crossed.

My only regret is not updating to Windows 10 when it was offered for free.

hhahahahah, I am an electronics tech.
Many of our repairs come from heavy handed people.

Our dishwasher is a sink and a scrubbing brush
