How do politicians value human beings

Post by billy the kid » Mon Sep 14, 2020 4:22 pm

Sigmund Freud once said "Its best if you can make work and make love.
But if you cant do both you better be good at one or the other."
I like many others in recent times have looked at politicians, and have asked the
question...."just what makes them tick..."
We all shit can politicians...they are fair game...
BUT how do they value human lives such as those who we read about attempting
to see dying loved ones on the other side of a line on a map
What value do politicians place on human beings.
I can only assume that in the current climate, our value to politicians is NIL.
“I’m only as good as my last achievement or success.” Another way of saying the same thing is
“a good deed is a good me and a bad deed is a bad me.” This is the contingent-worth logic of self-esteem.
What self esteem has Jeanette Young and Annastacia Palaszczuk.
Surely these two women realize what they are doing to human lives.
Are they as callous as they come across to be.
I can only assume that they are.
I read once about forsaking the goal of satisfying self esteem and instead
pursuing the more realistic goal of self acceptance.
How can Palaszczuk and Young live with themselves.
How can they accept themselves after this debacle of border closures
and denial of exemptions to interstate individuals.
How do these two women value themselves in comparison to other human beings.
How do they sleep at night.
Neither woman has any understanding or compassion.
It beggars belief that a health expert, who has dealt with physical and mental
health spectrums throughout her life seems to have no compassion whatsoever and is
driven simply by numbers on a page.
Or is it just politics.

They've certainly made some very heartless decisions and, no doubt, many enemies in the process.

Laughable how Palaszczuk states that if it means losing the Qld state election based on her border policies,
then so be it...
Shouldnt she be saying "based on the border policies created by my Chief Health Officer...
After all Young caused the borders to be closed...not Palaszczuk....
Her Chief Health Officer states that its necessary for people to bring money into the Qld
economy...
I thought her portfolio was Health....
Ooops...she hasnt got a portfolio....she's a bureaucrat....
I dont think she's the Treasurer....is she........ :rofl :rofl :rofl
Maybe they need to discuss their verbal statements to the media over a batch of scones......
OR a delightful chardonnay and an equally delightful filet mignon...... :rofl

Does Trump care more about the people or the power?

The president has treated campaign coffers like his own “piggy bank,” sending millions to law firms for whatever battle he wants to fight, including some protecting his own interests, according to the Times.

The legal fees are in addition to the contributions that Trump is funneling into his own pockets by charging his campaign and the Republican National Committee for lodging, event space and catering. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf resort hoovered up some $400,000 in just two days for a campaign event earlier this year. As of last year, his businesses had collected nearly $17 million since he launched his first presidential campaign.

His campaign is also paying Eric Trump’s wife, Lara Trump, and Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, $180,000 a year each for work, HuffPost has reported.

As for legal expenses, Trump had lawyers seek $1 million in damages from a former campaign aide who had accused another aide of sexual harassment and discrimination, the Times reported.

Trump also reportedly lassoed campaign donations to help him fight a California law that would have blocked him from running in the state unless he released his tax returns. That fight and others handled by the same firm cost his campaign and the RNC $1.8 million in legal fees, according to the Times.

In addition, the president and campaign associates hired lawyers to aid staff and family members — including Donald Trump Jr. and son-in-law Jared Kushner — when they were targeted in Russia and Ukraine probes. The RNC has already paid some $2.5 million in legal bills for that and other legal work, according to the Times.

The president has racked up a total in legal and compliance fees of at least $58.4 million since 2015 from Trump campaign and RNC contributions, according to data gathered by the Times and the Campaign Finance Institute.

Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee spent a fraction of that — $10.7 million — on legal and compliance expenses in the same period of time beginning in 2007.

“Vindicating President Trump’s personal interests is now so intertwined with the interests of the Republican Party they are one and the same — and that includes the legal fights the party is paying for now,” campaign finance lawyer Matthew T. Sanderson told the Times.

The White House refused to respond to the Times’ request for comment.

So, the upshot of the whole case against Trump is how much he spent on legal fees fighting against unjustified accusations and an illegal attempt to keep him off the California ballot. If the butt hurt democrats had left him to do the job we hired him to do none of that would have happened and 58 million would not have been spent. By all appearances Donald Trump must be the smartest, slickest conman and criminal to have gotten away with so many crimes over the last four years! Or it could just be that the eternal witch hunt never found him to have done anything but the peoples business. Biden charged the Secret Service rent to live in his guest house when he was vice president but apparently that is different!

Politicians see the public as somewhere between the sheep they choose to be and children who need a wise leader to run their lives! If you are not a fan of Nancy Pelosi you can see how outrageous her daily lies about Trump are. When she said we needed to pass Obamacare to see what is in the bill and most of the public remained silent she knew she had the power to do anything. Which of you would let a salesman tell you a product is yours all you have to do is sign a long term agreement you haven't read?
Taxpayers are the modern equivalent of Hebrew slaves building the pyramids for the Egyptian political class.
