Russia has Covid-19 vaccine now.

Even if I hadn't already had the china virus, I would hold off from the vaccine and let others try it first. Then if it does no harm I would take it after a couple of months, especially if I was in a high risk category. It's new enough that I don't want to be a guinea pig. Too much could go wrong.

I would take it and even if I died it wouldn't matter as I
would be doing something that could have helped my community.
I would be remembered as a hero.

Why risk your health for nothing? There are plenty of volunteers to take the vaccine first. Adding yourself to the list is of no benefit to anybody but yourself if it works, but the risk is all yours. It's your body and you do what you want, but I hope you weren't implying that I am being selfish to let others volunteer to take the risk without me. I'm just being prudent.

Well - someone has to risk their health and life to take it -
why shouldn't it be me or you?
In any case I doubt that it's very risky.
The greatest risk is if it doesn't work and then you get Covid-19 and die.

If you took it and died - wouldn't you like to be remembered as a hero
who sacrificed your life for your fellow citizens?
We can either die as heroes or be remembered as an old
sick man who dies in their bed one day who no one cares about.

My comments were for when the vaccine is released to the public. If you want to volunteer for trials, I commend you.

In WW2 the Soviet Union sacrificed 25 million lives to win.
Russians don't muck around waiting for limp wristed
bureaucrats to approve things.
They get on with it and they win -

from the vaccine it will be covered up -

Except for people who die from the vaccine. Putin wins. How much is he worth now? I wouldn't be surprised if he personally owned the patent for the vaccine.
