Holden memories
My first car in Aussie was an EH holden.
Great car, hydramatic auto, small 6 cylinder (186 I think), cost $600 I think.
Drove it from Victoria to Qld, then around there for a few years

William was great in The Bridge Over The River Quai. Alec Guinness was an idiot.

Re: Holden memories
I was suckered into buying Holden for years.
Biggest load of crap on earth.
When I started travelling overseas and seeing what real cars were like
I couldn't go back to that rubbish.
A standard car in the UK or Europe are better than premium cars sold in Australia.
We get the shite, thanks to our useless grubberment.
The fuel we get is so bad, so poor in quality,
That the better cars will not sell here because they would perform badly because of the fuel.
Our rubbish politicians and public serve us have so much to answer for.

I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Re: Holden memories
Back in the early 80s I blew up a Kingswood 202.
I passed a car on the open road and went a little fast with full pedal to the metal.
It had massive internal damage and I had to take it to a scrap dealer.
All I had left were the number plates.

Re: Holden memories
My Holden experience was a 1973 GTS Monaro
Overall a pretty crumby car had numerous problems including engine, gearbox, exhaust burnt out and rust.
I have had numerous Fords,
Falcons, Fairmonts and a Fairmont Ghia atm and largely nothing major
Chalk and Cheese imo!

They rusted terribly.
The bodies of Fords and Holdens were never galvanised in a big tank at the factory.
Once the rust got in it was like a cancer -
rust kill and fiberglass patches would only last 2 years and
the whole repaired area would rust out again.
Also:
Apparently the steel they made them with had sulfur impurities which
made sulfuric acid in the steel when combined with water.
That caused amazingly fast rust to occur.
Overall - a bucket of shit.
