In September, the governments "permission" for insolvent companies to trade ends...
In September, the eviction moratorium ends...
Heres the kicker...
Landlords, if they want to evict tenants for non payment of rent will give, on average
a 30 day period on a notice to quit..
That will give tenants after a bit of toing and froing....until about early November to vacate..
Landlords will not, I predict, want to delay evictions any further as a delay would see evictions
occurring just before Xmas, which would be seen as heartless, and maybe cause repercussions...
A vaccine will not be available for 6, 12, 18, 24 months...if ever....
The virus is not going to go away...
Governments cannot place communities in and out of lockdowns willy nilly..
The economy is ruined...
90,000 calls to LifeLine last month in Victoria...
Thats 1 every 30 seconds...
Food prices are predicted to rise...
The peak in Victoria has yet to be reached...
Unemployment is skyrocketing...
Borders are still closed, creating havoc...
MY PREDICTION..
The government, without telling us.....
WILL GIVE UP...
They will move silently towards HERD IMMUNITY...
Social distancing and masking will continue...mass gatherings...a raffle...
Masking may be made compulsory in many areas...
Herd immunity was originally considered in the UK..
Is it being considered silently NOW in the UK..
Johnson is encouraging "people to go out and spend" by granting
half cost meals on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays..
Why do this unless you have given up..
Governments such as Victoria cannot extend lockdowns...
They cannot place communities in and out of lockdowns...
The whole country is a debacle...
People in Qld border towns are waiting to see if they can still go to work
after Saturday...all because of an incompetent premier trying to win an election....

reeked with desperation...
Remember Morrison, early in the plandemic, stated that he would not follow
the UK's plan of "JobKeeper"...whatever the equivalent was called in the UK...
HE did...
Morrison said early on that his government would "listen...and then react"....
WELL...
Reacting hasnt worked....
Thats why theyll all give up and revert silently to herd immunity....

It's pretty pointless tossing more money at something I doubt they can stop. Luckily we are moving into warmer weather and summer which Covid doesn't like as much as the cold. It will flare up again though.

Paying people to stay at home is never going to work if we want the economy back up and running. Who the hell is going to work when they get more to stay at home?

Thats the whole point about herd immunity.
The governments can only try so much for so long....
At some point they have to say....this is not working....
When does that occur...
I feel it will be before Xmas...
It will open up a can of worms if they extend JobKeeper/JobSeeker for Victoria
only....
Governments are not using foresight....
They cant just continue saying..."ok...we"ll try this for six weeks and see what happens...."

In regard to the vaccine I think most agree it is an unknown when and if it is found!

Yeah imo common sense suggests you obey the expert opinion unless you are a dope like Trump!

I guess after reading crap criticising the governments of both persuasions acting on expert advice on this, I was getting a bit cranky at members running down their efforts!
