Re: Melbourne back in 6 week lockdown July 7
There are 745 aged care facilities in Victoria.
The average number of beds per facility I believe is 75.
This means that there are approximately 55,000 elderly persons in aged care in Victoria...
(if each facility is full....)
Today it was announced that there are almost 1000 cases in Victorian aged care facilities
who have covid19.
Thats one case in every 55 patients...
Assuming that say 500 of those homes are in Melbourne...does this mean that
there are about 1000 persons with the virus in Melbourne Nursing homes
Thats about 2 in every home....
In every home....
312 Victorians are in Hospital with the virus....34 in ICU....
Why are there only 34 in ICU..
Thats 1 in 10 patients need ICU..
Yet there are nearly 1000 infected elderly patients lying in aged care facilities all over Victoria....
Either these numbers are rubbery....
OR Victoria is fucked.........

The virus doesn't care about who's in charge.
Action needs to be taken now in Sydney.

There are clusters in some nursing homes where nearly everyone there
and nearly all the staff have Covid-19.
Other nursing home are free of it.

arent these people in hospitals.....There are only 300 odd people in hospitals with the virus...
Apparenty 3.5 people are positive per 100 in Victoria....
(SkyNews) but only 3.5 per 1000 in Sydney.....
Bit of a difference.....
Are the figures rubbery.....
OR is Victoria is too far gone....
Andrews wants everyone to be re-tested after 11 days....
That means two tests per person does it not....two positives.....
I think the figures are rubbery.....
Sutton is saying go out and exercise....Andrews says stay at home....
Incompetence...
How can you believe the figures.....

Remember when Dan said it was safe to open schools?
What an idiot.
The number of schools in Victoria that are closed after being linked with
recent positive cases of coronavirus grew to more than 80.

Woolworths are "strongly encouraging" every one to wear a mask in their stores from Monday. Others will follow.

Sydney should follow Melbourne -
compulsory masks.
try anything so you don't end up like us.
I don't know anymore.
I am very depressed today after all we've been through in Melbourne -
yet the virus is winning.
