they slaughter animals in unhygenic means, but us idiots agree to appease the crims.

...............Yagoona Halal Meats was fined $4800 and and ordered to pay $2000 in costs by the Chief Industrial Magistrate's Court, which had previously found against the company over six other offences. The Food Authority gave evidence that the storage area had ''rusty hanging hooks and a rusty handsaw contaminated by old, dry meat''. The walls were ''unclean and found to have debris and dried blood on them''.
Having failed a string of inspections over the past few years, the Yagoona butcher is one offence away from being shut down, according to sources at the Food Authority.

Do you know how cruelly the animals are killed to conform to this disgusting tradition? Where is the outcry from those who would have us believe they "care" about the suffering of others, be they animals? Is it politicially just not "kewl" enough to even criticise the torture of animals just because the torture is perpetrated by practising muslims?

The short is that with the halal killing, the animals must be concsient and aware until and including the moment they are killed.

Shame on anyone who condones this!

If done properly, it is no more stressful than conventional methods of slaughter. It may seem more barbaric, slashing the throat, but in reality, if done in a single motion, it renders the animal unconscious with little stress. Basically, the most stressful part of the process is (or should be) getting them into a position that makes it safe for the slaughterman to do his business, regardless of halal or not.

The problem with in the opening post has nothing to do with the meatwork being halal or not, it's just a shoddy operation... it happens, and you'd hope the authorities were doing their job, and finding them quickly.

I once got to watch someone drain a couple of litres of blood out of a horse's neck. The horse remained standing, conscious and calm the whole time. It was not restrained and was obviously not in significant pain.

What is cruel is how they kill the little girls who betray whatever dirty old man was chosen as their husband. Whenever I come accross a rabid feminist I like to ask them about this. I haven't done this in a while and it is starting to become a more popular cause, but back in my uni days it used to stump them. For some reason it seems to be men who rant about issues with religious aspects, whereas women don't want to go there.

Indeed.
It's a really stupid practice 'coz the animal is very aware that death is near, so as the animal mentally and emotionally freaks out, their adrenaline runs, and adrenaline taints the taste of the meat ... which is why the tent-heads .. oh sorry, forgive my political incorrectness, I mean Halal slaughtermen need to bleed the animal so quickly (usually while still alive).
Generally anybody who's ever killed their own food knows head shots taste good and chasing your dinner though the bush doesn't.

Hindus reckon Vishnu at one time incarnated as a pig and so are semi-devine or psuedo-holy or some such dung.

How'z this, ... despite so many collective psychosis regimes, oh sorry, I mean religions (Jews, Muslims, some hindus ect) abstaining from pig flesh, pigs are still the most eaten animal on Earth.

Yes it's almost as bad as those nasty jews who still practice blood sacrifice.
Can't say I like Muslims but at least they kill the animal for food rather than their god.
