My bone of contention has always been that the "expert" advice from our politicians has always
been not to wear masks.....full stop....end of story....
NOW...they come out and recommend that if you cannot socially distance, you should wear a mask...
Morrison has even stated that Andrews (Victorian Comrade Dan) advice is NOT a broad \recommendation
for people across Australia....
This means that the Australian Governments stance remains insofar as the routine use of
face masks is not recommended.....
Yet Victoria is ordering masks by the millions....
AND Hunt comes out today and suggests that we wear masks....
WHEN are our media whores going to stop sucking up to politicians and demand
some answers for their incompetent handling of the plandemic from day one...
To mask or not to mask...
To socially distance or not to socially distance...
To fine protesters or not to fine them...
To lift restrictions or not lift restrictions...
To impose lockdowns or not impose lockdowns...
To use hydroxy or not use hydroxy…..
To close schools or not close schools....
To close borders or not close borders...
How can the federal government convene a national cabinet to handle the virus, and then
simply wave a white flag and permit states to do as they please....
Whats the point of having a national cabinet......ffs....
What a fkn mess...…. :rofl

Good post.
I repeat:
The Govts. have had 6 months to organise masks for everyone at a reasonable price.
We have to do something different during this lockdown as
otherwise we are repeating the same experiment expecting a different outcome.
The last lockdown didn’t work and this one won’t either unless we
all wear masks when out shopping etc.

If you want to get a mask the N95 are the best. I got mine on Ebay.

Thanks BO,
I know that but I want everyone to wear a mask when shopping -
it's not just about me getting some masks.
It's also needed for people in taxis and on public transport.
I don't think it's healthy to wear a mask all day but for a short
period when near other people, it could help quite a lot.

Bobby - Yoda said ' ........ "Do or do not. There is no try." ........

I went to the supermarket yesterday.
I asked for mask to wear against Covid-19.
The lady said they don't have any and they have never sold any.
The chemist next door had none left.
I blame Daniel Andrews -
he wants us to wear masks but there aren't any.

We have an incompetent fool running our state.
He did say that the state govt would make available cloth masks. I'm sure there is something on the govt web site about it.
Also, masks are readily available on line. :)

Victoria's coronavirus crisis has worsened further after another
270 cases were detected in the past 24 hours,
including more in aged care facilities.

Of those cases, only 28 are linked to known and contained outbreaks. The other 242 are under investigation.

Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said now that there were more than 1,800 active cases in the state, hospitals were bracing for hundreds of patients.

"That's a really significant number of people with coronavirus and it does mean that in the next fortnight, we're going to see a number of people who will require hospital," he said.

"There's often 10 to 20 per cent of all coronavirus infections who require hospitalisation, so that's a couple of hundred individuals at least.

"They will require hospitalisation in the next couple of weeks."

He said the state was facing a "challenging situation" in aged care, where multiple outbreaks are causing concern.
Victoria passes 4,000 COVID-19 diagnoses since start of pandemic

Today's number represents Victoria's third largest daily increase.

It brings the total number of cases in Victoria since the start of the pandemic to 4,224, with almost 22,000 tests conducted on Monday.

Premier Daniel Andrews said with such large numbers of new cases each day, contact tracing had become a challenge.

Mr Andrews said a team of 200 Ambulance Victoria staff were being assembled to help the state's public health team in the battle against COVID-19.

He said a number of private companies, including Telstra, Qantas and Jetstar, were also being marshalled to help.

"As the task grows, the team needs to grow too," he said.

Mr Andrews said about 1,000 ADF personnel will be arriving over the next three or four weeks.

Their focus will include planning tasks in the State Control Centre, logistics and providing assistance in the outbreaks in the public housing towers.

They will provide practical assistance on the ground, the Premier said, such as providing meals to the residents.

More to come.

I think they'll wait a few more weeks before further measures.

Jesus Christ - our number of cases is now 10,250.
https://coronaboard.com/

Still much lower than Florida USA -
they've got a shocking number of 291,629 cases
with a smaller population than Australia.
That shows you what we could be in for.
