Oh Robbie a monument has been erected to honor your ancient Socialist HERO.
BO has erected the monument.
I'm actually not a socialist - I just admire the man.
Question time in parliament was interesting when he was there.
No one else has ever matched his wit and logic.

The blind devotion of a Socialist.
Now a bit of TRUTH about Keeting.
Confessions of a pet shop galah: a lot of reform backfired
Ross Gittins November 11, 2019 — 12.00am
As someone who, back in the day, did his share of being one of Paul Keating’s pet shop galahs – screeching "more micro reform!" every time they saw a pollie – I don’t cease to be embarrassed by the many supposed reforms that turned into stuff-ups.
My defence is that at least I’ve learnt from those mistakes. One thing I’ve learnt is that too many economists are heavily into confirmation bias – they memorise all the happenings that affirm the wisdom of their theory, but quickly cast from their minds the events that cast doubt on that wisdom.

Keating was more successful Treasurer than as a Prime Minister. He was effective as a Parliamentarian. He roasted Downer, Hewson and Howard when they were leaders of the opposition. His rhetoric is sorely missed IMO today.

Keating scrapped tariffs and commenced the demise of the motor industry
Keating gave us the recession we had to have with interest rates at 18%
Although publicly he said there wouldn't be one
He wanted interest rates higher...
He introduced the CGT and the fringe benefits tax
He introduced the compulsory superannuation levy which has ruined small business...
He wanted a GST at 15%
He privatised the Commonwealth Bank
And so on and so on....
His only notoriety was his mouth.....

His deeds never matched his obnoxious and arrogant rhetoric. One Nation was born as a result of his failures so for those who hate Pauline you can thank Keating lol.
He also introduced mandatory detention for illegals oh dearie dearie me tsk tsk.
