It has been at least seven weeks, I couldn't sit and watch that much TV.. Being a couch potato isn't in my nature.

Yeah.
My darling has been slowly going stir crazy.
She has painted 3 rooms now and is starting on another.
The door frames have all been cut back and repainted.

The house is cleaner than it has ever been.

But she really wants to get out, she is a gregarious person who needs other people.
I can happily enjoy mine own company, often do.
Many hours fishing, bush walking or even just sitting on the beach.
My gorgeous wife is one of the very few people I enjoy the company of.
And while she and I can spend many hours together without the need of others.
I'm at work every day, so she is craving company.

But with a predisposition for pneumonia, it's best she stays put..

For her sake, I hope this finishes soon, or a vaccine is discovered.
Because of anyone on this earth I wish no discomfort for, my wife in the most important.

Not really.
I could quite happily be a hermit.
I live as I do, because my darling likes our life and people in general.

She has put herself in danger to help people.
Once she tried to break up a fight while i was paying for a pizza, and one of the guys turned on her.
His punch was weak, and only stunned her.
I think I broke his jaw. Hard to tell as he was unconscious when we drove away.

She is particularly protective of children.
Stepping in to stop a man beating on his (I think) wife and child, he pulled a knife.
I didn't even see it, I pay little attention to other people.
She backed off fortunately.
I had my knife out in an instant and he saw blood in my eyes, he ran like the coward He was.

I really don't like most people.
I make few friends and fewer enemies, I just can't find enough effort to care.
Without even thinking about it, i will help anyone who needs or asks for it.
But I will not be a sucker, and I trust no one, ever.

I fiercely defend my family and friends.
I wouldcwillingly give my life for my wife or children or grandchildren.
But I woukd just as fiercely take out any threat against them, without question.

People are horrors.
The human race is destined to rot into oblivion , well deserved.
Perhaps the cockroaches will breed a more worthy replacement.

I got my grandmother's sewing machine out and made some masks for my family. They have a pocket so you can install whatever filter media you want. I just need to find some elastic and I can finish them. What's the best filter media for homemade masks? I've heard of paper towels, baby wipes, and coffee filters. I'm leaning toward coffee filters.

I don't really want to wear a mask, but I made them because we will be required to wear them in some places and the disposable masks I have don't last very long. The masks I made are washable and reusable.

I'll try to post a picture of my sewing machine later. My grandmother bought it new in 1970 in Mesquite, TX. It's a New Home (Janome) 445.

I am a gun mechanic on Sewing machines.

I wanted my missus to take up a pair of pants and she moaned the Sewing machine was cactus (Buggered, stuffed, NBG)

So I thought there cant be much wrong with it, good brand, hardly used.

10 mins friggin around and it sews like a new one!

I read that HEPA vacuum cleaner filters were the best but they have to be sandwiched between material and not directly on your face.

I bought a washable mask and some extra filters on Ebay but I haven't had to use either yet and hopefully won't have to. I bought them early as a just in case and before I even thought about making one.
