is now...quick...go out and buy a house and take advantage of the cheap mortgage interest rates

As an elderly person I find it quite sad the way the public is being lied to with these statistics....
Are they legitimate numbers....
We are told they are....
It appears now that no millennial can afford to buy a home but instead goes heavily into debt to buy
their motor vehicle...lives at home with mum and dad...maybe goes to uni and builds up a hecs debt...
BUT in the meantime, travels the world as they cant afford to save for the deposit on an overpriced
piece of real estate.....
Are we being lied to...are the millennials receiving any guidance...who and what are they supposed\
to believe......
Something just doesn't add up to me.....

Not one word about the eradication of bats in Australia....which carry corona viruses....

Sheesh. Eradication of bats is not a solution. Should we also eradicate all pigs in case they spread Swine Flu? Or all chickens in case they spread Bird Flu? Perhaps we should kill our pet dogs in case they might give us rabies? Or our cats in case we might get Toxoplasmosis.

Livestock can carry TB, Brucellosis, Q Fever, Hepatitis, Anthrax etc so no more meat. Let's kill them all off now just in case.

The list goes on and on.

This suggestion is almost as knee jerk as the Chinese tossing their pets off high rise buildings in case they have coronavirus.

It has been proven that bats carry the corona virus....
The stats worldwide show millions of people infected by the virus...
So far a quarter of a million people have died worldwide….
Bat droppings can be picked up by farm animals...those farm animals are then transported
to abattoirs and we then consume meat from those animals....
African swine flu recently wiped out a third of Chinas pigs....
I accept that livestock carry other diseases...
This is not just another disease.....

There's a bat colony near me. Very near me! I'm not going to hide under my bed with paranoia.

I leave them alone and they leave me alone. When I lived up the north coast there was a huge bat colony in a Moreton Bay Fig only several metres from the door. Again, never had a problem.

Instead of eradicating an entire species perhaps you should point your angst at the people who encroach on their environment and then shove them in cages for 'science' and/or food.
