I watched it all - fascinating -
Pell doesn't harbor any grudges after all that was done to him.

Re: Cardinal Pell
I'm not Catholic nor a child abuse victim. I don't know if Pell's guilty or innocent, but I have seen the child molestation accusation levelled twice simply to extort money.
Some believe even if innocent Pell himself, he was involved in cover ups and so must pay for the sins of the church.
I don't know, how can any outsider "know"?
Sure the Catholic church has done much evil since its inception, but so too have just about all other churches.
In fact organised religion has been a hide out for sexual predators for eons, long before Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.
And still is.
Take for example Tibetan Buddhism. Before Communist China annexed Tibet, Tibet had slavery, and every family (including the elite)must submit one son (usually the eldest). When a rich boy goes into the monastery he can take his slave with him.
Most of those boys are subjected to homosexual activity, so who knows what happened to the slave.
And unfortunately paedophilia tends to go full circle, so the victim becomes a perpetrator.
One of the reasons paedophilia existed so long in the Catholic monasteries is because in the old days if you had a gay son, you gave him to the church. This protected him from being burnt at the stake (a fagg is a bundle of stick you throw on the fire), protected the family name, and gave the family influence with the most powerful institution in the land.
The case against Pell was flawed from its inception.
Vic police admitted they were "out to get him".
Vic DPP initially rejected the case, telling the police to gather evidence first.
The police charged Pell anyway, compelling the DPP to take it on.
The 3 police witnesses all gave evidence contrary to the accuser's story.
It seems Vic police are just a left wing lynch mob.

If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Re: Cardinal Pell
I should correct that.
I was a child abuse victim, but the abuse was physical and psychological, not sexual as far as I can remember.

No, he was convicted by a jury and lost the appeal.billy the kid wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 6:25 pmThey charged him 26 times......convictions......zero...…(after appeal of course....)
The High Court threw it out because the prosecution had no evidence.
Their entire case was based on supposition and hypotheticals.
Pell was found guilty by ABC TV & Radio before the trial even began, thus Pell was not able to get a "fair trial".
Now the suppressed parts of the Royal commission findings regarding Pell per se have been released, there may or may not be more to come via civil suits. I haven't read it, so not in a position to form an opinion.

Yes, I get your point ... wasn't being critical, just being a stickler on facts for clarity's sake.
