I've never downloaded an app to a phone .. ever, and only Google Earth to my laptop.
But then I've never even had a CD player ... when they fazed out tapes I said "Phuk 'em".
Actually I don't have a smart phone .. I'm not smart enough 8-) .. I've got one of those old puny things with buttons on it which I don't have to learn sign language to use. So I don't know if I could download it anyway.
I'm not anti-technology per se .. shit, I'm not even Amish ... but I do get annoyed when they keep changing things, like Windows operating systems ... I liked XP, got used to 7, get annoyed with 8.1 and was warned 10 spies on us - by Microsoft.

To be honest this CV19 app seems like a test run by our govt to emulate the Chinese govt's surveillance of Uyghurs.
So my sentiment is, if you think you need it, by all means get it. But considering how govt's clearly don't trust their own population, I wouldn't condemn someone for being suspicious of its (real) purpose.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?
