2. New Jersey: 99,989 cases - democrats
3. Massachusetts: 46,023 cases - democrats
4. California: 39,803 cases - democrats
5. Pennsylvania: 39,410 cases - slightly Republic
6. Illinois: 36,934 cases - democrats
7. Michigan: 35,252 cases - slightly Republic

Virus are not intelligent. They don't select on voting preferences.
Diseases more affect the weaker, softer, pigheaded, older, more unhealthy, overweight, stupider people.
A correlation to the democratic states most affected some might say.

The virus spreads faster in large cities with close quarters and public transportation. Democrats tend to run large cities.

It is a bit the same in the countries worst affected in UK and Europe, lots of close proximity, high population density in their main cities.
