I think this is going to be part of Trump's ad campaign and so it should. People should not forget her blocking aid for small business (with such pleasure and gusto) whilst sitting in front of her $24k freezer flaunting gourmet ice cream and baskets of chocolate.

I also think that the COVID-19 outbreak has revealed the true colors of the closet socialists/Marxists/totalitarians on the left.

Democrat governors and mayors seem increasingly intoxicated with the power of being able to tell their subjects what they can do -- and more importantly, can't do. And it's getting increasingly ridiculous ... for instance, a father was arrested for the heinous crime of taking his son to a park. Church-goers who remained in their cars while attending an outdoor service in the church parking lot were given $500 tickets by the local police. A skateboard park was covered with a mountain of sand when local teenagers had the audacity to use it for skateboarding.

Republican senator Ted Cruz responded with the following sarcastic tweet: "Clearly, the greatest public-heath threat imaginable…a kid on a skateboard. Young people, remember, this is what Big-government statist Democrats do—they take away your freedom."

Conversely, we're already seeing state capitals clogged with the vehicles of hundreds of protesters demanding that the governor (usually a Democrat) begin lifting restrictions and allowing at least some businesses to reopen.

Here's what I see happening: As the first states (likely governed by Republicans) start lifting their lockdowns, unless they trigger a new wave of viral outbreaks, there'll be increased pressure on the states and governors who are enjoying their Draconian restrictions a little too much. And those who attempt to hold out will face even larger protests from frustrated citizens.

You can't treat Americans like citizens of the old Soviet Union and expect them to take it for long. But it's interesting to hear lefties insist that it could be another 12 to 18 months before we can even consider resuming some semblance of normal society. By that time, the U.S. economy would more closely resemble that of Zimbabwe. But on the positive side ... Democrats would get to live their dream of exercising Stalinist power over the masses.
