Must be better than no job at all? Image
Really! Better to be exploited by your boss, than to be unemployed? Please explain?
I didn't say it was better to be exploited by your boss but if you are still in a job and earning more than unemployment you are likely in a better position to round up others in the company being cheated and to take it to Fair Work or whoever else will police it.

Once you're on the unemployment line that's it for some time to come.
Unionism? Are you advocating some kind of left-wing complaint process?

I am advocating these Jobkeeper payments be scrutinised and kept track of to catch unscrupulous employers.

The ATO will check and compare BAS statements lodged by every employer claiming Jobkeeper...
But by then, the damage has already been done...the checking under their ASP (activity statement product) system will uncover
unscrupulous employers....but how long will this take.....how long is a piece of string.....and what will be the penalty...if any...
I don't work in the ATO...I wouldn't know...all I know is that people will be screwed as businesses "downsize"....

The latest news I have on this topic is that one employee, a 62yo man who has been a tireless, dedicated
and faithful employee all his life has been advised of a $300 per week pay cut...that's $600 per fortnight.....
He's 62....a few short years from retirement and he gets this kick in the guts from his employer who
blatantly refuses to pass the JobKeeper allowance onto all his staff.....but cuts everyones wages by varying
amounts of $100pw or more......
How can anyone be so fkn ruthless as to stab his staff in the back so viciously....
He's been in the work force for over 40 years...there is a facility available to keep
staff employed, and his employer does this to him...
Bear in mind everyone is still working the same hours and doing the exact same jobs....
At this time, with incidents like this I totally lose faith in humanity...
We may be spruiking about flattening the curve...there may be cause to say we've won..
We've beaten the China virus....
But at what cost.....
Im almost inclined to ring Alan Jones or someone to tip the bucket on this bastard....
I wouldn't be surprised if this is happening all over Australia...its only a matter of time
before there's blood in the streets...

My apologies...part of my post was poorly worded....
The info I have is that the employer has told his staff who all had to agree to pay cuts
that he would not be passing on the JobKeeper payment.
This information was given to staff at a meeting on Tuesday morning by the Pay Clerk.
The Pay Clerk did not attend work yesterday...the rumour is that she was extremely
embarrassed at being in the position where she had to convey the news to staff....
It remains to be seen as to whether any or all the staff actually lodge claims at Fair Work
stating that workplace agreements were signed under duress, and are therefore invalid...
I feel that would probably wait until JobKeeper Payments are/are not included in their
salary payments in May....
The boss may have a change of heart...only time will tell, but the workplace will not be the
same....
The status quo remains...the paycuts are still exploitation and remain in place indefinitely...
JobKeeper only lasts for six months.....
