The horse has already bolted on that. They have already cleaned us out.

We have local distilleries making hand sanitizer for emergency personel and sometimes the general public. They ask that you bring them empty bottles to fill. Any of you backyard chemists should get the recipe.

I was totally wrong on that. There is a small rum distillery right in the heart of Sydney who has turned their hand to making hand sanitizer. It' not cheap though. 2 x 200 ml bottles with no spray nozzle for $26.

I am using SOAP....always have done and believe me I have been around for a while now..

we are blindsided by those trying to sell us something.....even our washing needs disinfecting all of a sudden....

and as for those kitchen benches how the hell did we get this far without all these fancy products??????

personally I dont buy them..soap and hot water does me and has for a long time.....

dont get hoodwinked into thinking you are not clean....most people with this virus have just come off a nice cruise ship where they havent lifted a finger for some time...... I am sure they didnt have hand sanitizer in every cabin either...

You don't need to go overboard but you really need something antibacterial in the face of a pandemic.

true what about listerine or plain old fashioned dettol..watered down.....

my main point is this santizing wasnt the go until recently...and somehow we have survived.... you know we can be too clean....isnt that why golden staph is a hospital infection?..at least thats what I was always told and the only time I have had it was after an operation....

dont know about you bo but I am staying in.. by the look of the stats figures are slowing down [in Australia] this could well be the answer...

We did a shop today, what a trek.

Loading stuff into the car, one tube for refrigerated one for pantry.

All the fresh stuff gets washed in warm soapy water dried then put away. Pantry items stay in the tub in the garage for a week.

Yeah I'm not looking forward to it. I might just go out for meat and get the rest delivered IF they have what I want. Usually online it's yeah yeah yeah then when they deliver it half of it is missing.

I am going to get my 2nd ever flu shot and want to coordinate it all at the same time.

do you go to your doctor for the flu shot....my doctor told me not to go to the chemist as the shots are not the same as the ones doctors get....
but it does mean you have to go out...

We can go out for food, shots etc and my regular Doctor decided not to do flu shots this year because of the ridiculous amount of paperwork she has to send in to the government. She thinks they want to know too much about us.

First year I want one and she isn't doing them LOL

So I have to find someone else to do it and they all just keep messing me around so she gave me a few numbers to call tomorrow.
