https://www.greenlandaustralia.com.au/e ... -supplies/
A senior foreign investment legal adviser has told news.com.au that because Greenland Australia is partially owned by the Chinese government it would need Mr Frydenberg's permission to export the supplies.
Greenland is a property developer and comes under Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) regulations as a 'foreign government investor', the lawyer said.
"You can't just go into a new business as a medical supplier … use the resources coming from your business to do that activity."
He said "there are no loopholes" in the FIRB regulations to allow for medical emergencies or global pandemics.
Mr Frydenberg did not give direct responses on Friday afternoon to questions about Greenland and Risland's exports.
Instead, his office referred news.com.au to the Prime Minister's statement about that people engaged in profiteering from medical supplies and personal protection equipment would be seized "at the border".

Time for some answers, Mr. Freakenberg…..of course, we peasants cant really expect the truth...now can we.....
If Freakenberg gave permission, then once again, Australia has been sold a dump by our grubberment….once again
pandering to the Chinese...….nothing changes...….

The picture of ONE massive shipment of medical equipment waiting to be put on a plane to China has been taken down from the net. Surprise surprise! I wish I had the foresight to have saved it. You could read the consignment notes on the pallets. It looked pretty much like this though and this is only 3 tonnes. A mere trickle ...

Why was that allowed with the baby formula? It's not life saving medical equipment but they stripped the shelves bare so that Aussie women could not get formula for their babies. Why did the government allow this? They even encouraged it by setting up a dedicated Post Office in Chatswood, Sydney for their smaller shipments to China and instead of selling the usual crap every other PO sells guess what this one sold? Baby formula!

Hey China,

How about you mobilise all your factories to manufacture ventilators, masks, hand sanitiser and all kinds of medical supplies and ship them to the world for FREE. Then, just maybe when this is all over, we'll play nice with you.

I guess thinking over when this occurred and only wuhan was in trouble they may have thought they were doing a good thing.

Seems they overdid it though and our government should have put a limit on it.

WTF were ASIO doing surely they would be watching all Chinese owned companies in OZ and should have been aware of this going on.

Now the shoes is on the other foot, and this Chinese Government owned company if they had any decent ethics about them should be arranging for stocks to be shipped from China back to us.

Wont happen though!

I agree, Blian Loss (pronounced like Flied Lice), the lives of our fellow Australians aren't half as valuable as the lives of the Chinese.
Take it up with the Tory Government, Black Orchid. They are the ones who control exports... :roll :roll

Got your Scythes? Check!
Got your Rakes? Check!
Got your torches? Check!
Got your peasant mob? Check!

Time to go a lynching innocent people who haven't broken any laws? Check!

Gordon and the other Sinophobes solution to the normal, legal business of life occurring around them. What a foolish, silly waste of time and effort. Tsk, tsk. :roll :roll

No wonder Trump started a trade war with China....
China has been screwing the world for decades....
When this is over no-one will have a bar of China....
There may be a school of thought that thinks that the chinese work for a bowl of rice per week...
...(plus a side of bat soup)....therefore we will still get our gizmos built there on the cheap.....but will
grubberments worldwide allow this.....everything is going to change, Id imagine....Id hope.....
Globalization is finished....countries will have to increase their manufacturing base....
But I digress.....

I've dealt with the Chinese in the past in business and they are duplicitous and only ever out for themselves. They will screw you over six ways til Sunday and on Sunday they will just double down.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is either a fool or extremely naive.
