People are dying and the Republicans are trying to push a survival coronavirus package through Congress to help Americans yet the Democrats don't care if you die as they keep holding this package up that will help millions of Americans.

Pelosi and Schumer should be dragged out and burned at the stake. They won't even start debate on it. Schumer's home state whom he represents has the highest infection/death rate in the country and he is denying them help. These people are scum.

Oh and where is 'brainiac' Joe? That's right ... nowhere to be seen.

Do you know why they're holding it up?

Do you know what their issues with the package are?

The Democrats are trying to stuff it with pork. They are using this opportunity to add a $15 minimum wage and everything else on the leftist dream list.

I suppose wanting to pay everyone a decent minimum wage is a dream in America, right, Tex? :roll

This is what they wanted ...

• Grants for audits of elections
• Elimination of postal service debt
• Reporting of corporate board member diversity by race and gender
• Corporate pay statistics by race
• Requirement for early voting
• Federal $15 minimum wage
• Permanent paid leave
• Forgiving $10,000 in student loans for every borrower.
• $300 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
• $300 million for the National Endowment for the Humanities
• $300 million for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
• $500 million for the Institute of Museum and Library Services
• Prohibition on requiring any form of identification as a condition of obtaining the absentee ballot
• Increased collective bargaining powers for federal employee unions
• Automatic extension of non-immigrant visas
• Increased fuel emissions standards for airlines
• Reporting on release of greenhouse gases from airline flights
• Expansion of wind and solar tax credits
• Funding for Planned Parenthood

Only a card carrying commie would agree with that at the expense of the people the government is trying to help.

I'm a strong believer in paying people what their work is worth. If you work hard, you'll always be better off. I haven't seen $15/hr in 25 years.

Ah! Then you would agree that health care workers, garbologist etc.., should be receiving danger allowance in recognition of the risks they currently face, and you would also agree that waiting staff deserve a real wage, rather than relying on tips alone... Yes?

If people want to negotiate their wages, that's their right and any waiter at my table makes $15/hr if he does his job and everyone else tips like me. Standard tip in the US is 20% of the bill.

Tipping is plain ridiculous...
Waiters in the early 19th century were extremely well paid in the USA...
These days it seems to me that tipping simply disguises a false economy...
20% of the bill being given as a tip suggests to me that youre a bit of a mug.....
Maybe as the saying goes...more money than brains..... :rofl

The fact that people need tips to earn a living wage though...

While I enjoy the better service I get when in the US because people need their tips otherwise they have to choose between feeding their kids or say their diabetes medicine, the thought that the business owners are profiting off the hardship of their workers doesn't sit well.

It's how the system works over there, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Well, I guess at least for another 4 year it does. Trump and Biden won't make any changes like this.

I always added 20% to the bill unless the service was exceptionally terrible.
