Bloody hell....Coles would take nearly a week for delivery
I know. I went through that with both Coles and Woolies yesterday. My son even said "calm down" and that he could order from Woolies online. I said "DUH don't you think I have tried that?"
So he put all the things we needed in the online basket (snickering at me) and what happened? He got to checkout and it said ... sorry not available!
I said "I TOLD YOU I have been stuffing around with this all day!"

I saw this and thought I would pass it on ....
NOT VERIFIED, but sounds like a very reasonable approach!
In place of media hype, common sense (from friends in the UK). You can also talk to your Dr. and medical friends. Be sure to share.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - CORONAVIRUS
Last evening dining out with friends, one of their uncles, who's graduated with a master's degree and who worked in Shenzhen Hospital (Guangdong Province, China) sent him the following notes on Coronavirus for guidance:
1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold
2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose.
3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27C – 80-82F degrees. It hates the Sun.
4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it.
7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on.
9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
10. Can't emphasize enough - drink plenty of water!
THE SYMPTOMS
1. It will first infect the throat, so you'll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days
2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further.
3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing.
4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you're drowning. It's imperative you then seek immediate attention.
SPREAD THE WORD. One life saved by unsolicited information is a gratuitous gift.

Perhaps the worst doomsday scenario is this: being stuck on the toilet and finding you're down to the last square.
At least that appears to be the nightmare prospect scaring many Australians right now, who have become the latest group to respond to coronavirus fears by buying toilet paper en masse.
This is despite authorities stressing there is no shortage - given most of the nation's rolls are made locally.
However in Sydney, the nation's largest city, supermarket shelves have been cleared in minutes, forcing one chain to enforce a four-pack buying limit.
On social media, #toiletpapergate and #toiletpapercrisis were top trending on Wednesday. Rolls were being flogged for hundreds of dollars online, while listeners were calling into radio stations to win packs of 3-ply loo roll.

It shows the absolute total incompetence of the
supermarkets and our so called leaders
that they allowed this to happen.
If they can't even get toilet rolls right then how can they manage a major epidemic with people dying by the 1000s
and the need for rare anti-viral drugs to fight it?
The halfwits allowed hoarders to buy like this until the shelves were bare:
ScoMo must resign - he's incompetent and can't lead this fight.

Of course they allowed it. They now have an excuse to raise TP prices and increase profits. It wasn't nice of them, but it's not illegal.

I'd prefer to not run out of dunny paper, but seriously, poop, shower, get a life.

I did warn you! I also told you what to do! *shrug
I followed the advice of ScoMo and other leaders - not to panic -
so I didn't stock up.
I was certain that the supermarkets would place limits on amounts
to stop their shelves from going bare.
I trusted the "very smart" people running this country to do the right thing.
Big mistake on your part Bob, they are not "very smart" they are politicians
