He lured a mother and her two teenaged daughters onto his boat on the pretence of taking them for a boat ride. Once out on the water, he produced a gun and tied up the mother and her two daughters, one age 17 and the other 14. He then raped one of them, tied a block of concrete to her and threw her over board to drown. Then he raped the second and repeated the process. Then he did the same to the last, who was probably the 14 year old. How do you think that 14 year old girl felt, Brian? Watching her mother and sister being raped and thrown overboard, knowing you were next?

Anyone who thinks that an animal like that deserves to live does not possess a mature adult brain.

Texas uses the death penalty more than any other state in America. I like it, but I would make a few tweaks.

1. I would limit the death penalty to cases of murder that are verified by DNA, video footage, or 3 or more credible witnesses. Every once in a while, a person on death row will be proven innocent and released. It breaks my heart to see that happen to the innocent and I don't like the idea of the innocent being executed.

2. Because the bar will be set higher for capital punishment cases, the opportunity for appeal will be limited. I would like to see conviction to execution times under 5 years instead of the typical 20 years of expensive litigation.

3. I would give the death row inmate the choice of how they will be executed. The inmate will choose 30 days after sentencing. I would have electric chair, lethal injection, gas chamber, hanging, firing squad, and whatever else wants to be negotiated by legislators in advance as options. Refusal to choose will result in a random choice for him/her.
