Are women often disrespected ?

Post by sprintcyclist » Sun Jan 05, 2020 5:57 pm

It seems to me women are often discredited, disrespected, not listened to and ignored.
Of course, mainly by insecure men.

Is that the case?

Some men and women bring disrespect upon themselves simply by the manner in which they conduct themselves.
I know one thing...its getting worse...
However, be that as it may, my late father said to me more than once...
"The more you give them, the more they want..."
Times certainly haven't changed..

Interesting to see that sam stosur is having a cry about the women having to play on outside
courts in the tennis....
If she didn't pay for her world wide travel by playing a set or two of tennis occasionally, someone
might take some notice...
Nothing changes...women having a whinge…
Boo fkn hoo…... :rofl

Everyone is ignored by people when they are different. My opinion is often ignored when I am around a group of women. Its probably why "birds of a feather stick together " became a saying.

There are very few women in my career field. I can only name 3 that I have met in 26 years. They were all prior military with technical training. Beth was very smart, but she had a chip on her shoulder and a lot of people didn't get along with her. We got along fine but she developed back issues and had to change fields.

We have had a few male dispatchers over the years. Men don't multitask as well and that's required for their job. Most of the guys in that field I've known are poofters. I don't know if that means anything, but it's my observation.

I have never, ever felt disrespected. Then I have always stood up for myself. I have never been "bullied" either.

The only thing I have felt is that as you get older you become "invisible". That's OK, I don't really need to know what the younger generation knows either .... they will find out in due course. Plus they, too, will get OLD.

Exactly.

I've always felt that respect is earned and anybody who ignores someone's merits will eventually screw themselves.
