The ABC is, despite all the bullshit from Tory Party shills the most trusted news/current affairs source in the media in Australia.
Maybe within your lefty/green bubble, Briney. But nowhere else.

I suppose the poll was taken by the same shills who predicted a win for Shorten.
A friend told me that the Scomo government is thinking of privatising it. I hope to God it is true. And I don't even believe in God.

Until you fools actually recognise that you're going to be resisted by your own supporters, for the most part, you'll be pushing shit uphill.
Then how come right wing privately owned media is doing so well? While the Pravda wannabees are floundering? CNN (Clinton News Network) and NBC (Nothing But Clinton) were once number 1 and 2 respectively, but they are both down around 9 and 10. Fox news is now number 1.

The Bogan does his ineffective Greeny divide and conquer thingy. It is such an ineffective technique as it smacks of a superior being looking down on a lower being.

I haven't seen any improvement in the ABC since Ita took over. I had hoped she might change things but little seems to have changed and she is a disappointment.

And your evidence to support this view is, what, Mechie?
The BBC and the ABC are both state owned. Both have a responsibility to tell the truth. Your views on what constitute "fake news" is what Trump tells you, right?

if its just your opinion then say so...
But you keep making statements without any facts or proof..
so you are either just stupid or a stone cold liar...
I suspect a lot of both..

I have a lot of time for It a.
She is a woman who knows There is no need to pretend to be a man to be successful.
But I believe she has been hog- tied and made to toe the line.
It's sad really.
A very effective individual, reduced to a pleb.
The ABC is nothing more than a collection of misfits and mentally ill.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

She's no idiot and would have known full well how much control and leeway she would have before she took the job.

ITA has already ditched Tony Jones and presumably BRossy's favorite program Q+A.
ScoMo's brilliance in sticking ITA there was to stop Labor and GetUp! using the ABC as a media outlet for its lying Propaganda.

ABC bias story number 3.
ABC news 2/1/2020
Federal cabinet documents kept secret for 20 years have revealed plans to create new laws to take land from Aboriginal people in the way of a proposed 1,400-kilometre rail line through the Northern Territory.
KEY POINTS:
• The newly released documents show criticism against the Ghan plan
• Aboriginal groups said the move would be unfair to traditional owners
• Papers also show statehood plans were in advanced stages 20 years ago
The ambitious rail line, taking freight and the Ghan passenger train between Australia's southern and northern ports in Darwin and Adelaide, was eventually built without the laws pressing ahead.
But the cabinet-in-confidence documents from 1998, publicly released yesterday, show that then-prime minister John Howard had offered a green light to "introduce legislation to provide access to Aboriginal land along the route of the railway if there is a genuine and immediate need".
If State or Federal governments need to build infrastructures which benefits the entire populace, it has always had the power to resume privately owned land at fair market prices. But according to the ABC, aboriginal people should be exempt from the laws under which every other citizen must abide by. The ABC bias implies that by resuming "aboriginal" land (where nobody lives anyway) to build a railway that benefits the entire nation, the Howard government was doing something insidious.
ABC
PROPOSED LAWS SLAMMED BY ATSIC
The proposed laws to take land were slammed by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) as "unnecessarily extreme", "very unfair" and "ill-advised".
If ATSIC claimed that the resumption of land was bad, you can bet it is good. ATSIC was so corrupt it had to be disbanded, as the government of the day considered it unreformable. ATSIC probably slammed the proposal because their publicly paid 'elders" weren't getting a kickback. How the ABC can use a flagrantly corrupt organization as ATSIC to promote it's biased story is beyond comprehension. Unless it is pitching it's story to young inner city activists who have never read a book, or have any idea about the history of their country.
