Different measurements.
The 2:00pm air quality index reading in the ACT's southern station at Monash was 4,650 — more than 23 times the hazardous level of 200.
In the ACT, other air quality stations recorded ratings of 3,436 at Civic and 3,508 at Florey.

The measurements are the same yours are just higher right now. I would have thought the southerly would have dissipated a lot of it.

I have COPD so I am not well. I haven't been outdoors for at least a fortnight. My daughter was going to drop over today but because of the smoke haze, decided not to. I agree with her. Even she is suffering from symptoms (itchy eyes, etc) and she has no health problems. No doubt the Hospital is chock full, so we have to suffer in silence.

The little shits who thought it fun to start a fire need to be caught and sent to gaol for the maximum 9 years or whatever it is. Murder if the match they lit caused death! Lives have been lost, not to mention people losing their houses.

Sure, Summer means "bushfires" but in EVERY State?

Listening to the RFS interview today regarding the south coast Batemans Bay area fires , were attributed to dry lightning strikes!

The bushfires in Australia are so big they're generating their own weather — 'pyrocumulonimbus' thunderstorms that can start more fires.

The bushfires in Australia are now so big that they are generating their own weather, in the form of giant thunderstorms that start more fires, according to the Bureau of Meteorology in Victoria.

Did you loose power this morning for about an hour? Suddenly everything went off around 6.30 am

I have also been having drop outs with the NBN which has never happened before.

Sorry that was for Red.
