Spoken like the citizen of a superpower, Tex. As the citizen of a middle-power, the UN is useful. It provides a great deal that the world needs. Most importantly, it provides or doesn't provide the imprimatur of legality for international action. Your government found out what happened when it decided to invade Iraq illegally in 2003. Now, consider what could have happened if George Bush decided to abide by the UN Security Council's decision and not invade. An awful lot of people would still be alive today that aren't.

Saddam Hussein needed to be removed but he needed to be removed for the right reasons, rather than the bullshit that your government produced as a Casus belli. :roll :roll

Oh that's right, Gretard here loves the UN. :giggle

I don't think anybody here really gives a toss about the technical bullshit or the inner workings. It's about the end result, which leaves a hell of a lot to be desired.
Take it up with the member states, Reboot. They are the organisation. That includes Australia and the USA.

I don't love the UN but at least I know it's history and why it is structured the way it is. :roll

Spoken like the citizen of a country that hosts the UN and pays over 20% of their budget to an organization that doesn't respect our sovereignty.

Oh yes, you're so high and mighty.

Keep in mind - you may fill your head with useless shit but that doesn't make you a genius, or "enlightened". It actually makes you more stupid than the rest of us.

As for your denial of UN arsekissery, I've seen you stick up for it on many occasions. But that's hardly surprising, considering how hard you back pedal on things.

In what way doesn't the UN "respect your sovereignty", Tex?

Remember, the UN does nothing without the permission of it's member states - including your own Government.

Time to grow up, I think, Tex and admit that your nation is a (founding) member state of the UN and nothing happens in the UN, unless the US Government accedes to it. :roll

You appear to enjoy displaying your anti-intellectualism at every turn, Reboot. Tsk, tsk. :roll

I "stick up for the UN" 'cause usually the person criticising it is doing so from ignorance. Like you. :roll

UN are a corrupt organisation trying to steal tax payers wealth with phoney climate “emergencies” etc...

Australia and every other country needs to pull out of it and tell them to pull their filthy heads in...

As you appear to enjoy displaying your pseudo-intellectualism, fuckwit :rofl

You can Google the organization's structure and pretend you know all you like, we know you love living in your box of delusions.
