Someone saw my gun in public for the first time in 10 years of carrying it. I was just Christmas shopping with my wife and getting out of the truck at a department store. An older man passed me and gave me a weird look. I realized that I forgot to pull my shirt over my gun as I left the truck. My wife said something funny to me about it. The man turned around and told me that he felt safer with me being armed when he saw me quickly covering gun. I didn't tell him that my wife was also armed.

Those are beautiful. 16" or 20"? I've always wanted one in .357/.38.

How do you "carry" your gun on your person? Do you just tuck it in your belt or do you wear a holster? I presume your wife puts hers in her bag. Just curious. :D

I've never even see a real hand gun, less alone held one! :o

I have an in-waist-band holster and I leave my untucked shirt over it or wear a jacket with my tucked in shirt. If I am tucking my shirt in I have a smaller pistol in a pocket holster in my front right pocket. I don't typically carry openly, even though it is legal in most places.

Here is how I typically carry my gun.

Mrs. Texan carries the same way sometimes, but if she doesn't dress so that that is possible she carries in her purse. The purse has a hidden(but easy access) pocket for the gun holster.

If you ever come to DFW, you'll have to go to the pistol range with Mrs. Texan and I. We can start you off easy on a .22 pistol and work up to 9mm. I don't have any larger caliber pistols.

Its a 16" , went for SS as I dont always clean my guns straight after using them , I considered the 357 but I just love the 44mag round

A mate of mine owns Barnard Precision http://www.barnard.co.nz/ , they manufacture some lovely actions, very high precision,,

The stainless is gorgeous. I hope you got a lot of burl in the grain pattern. Keep it oiled to bring out the grain and protect the wood. Feel free to post pics.

This place is like a ghost town. I'm just getting out of bed on Christmas eve and you are nestled in bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in your heads. Merry Christmas!
