Some people just shouldn't have animals and many who should never have children.

Obviously Valkie hasn't had a dog, shit all over his front doorstep
& then stepped in it and unknowingly walked through the house.
I have had a dozen dogs and not one of them has ever pooped on my front doorstep. Nor has one ever eaten a door or any part of the house.

I think you should go on the list of being a non dog owner lol.

Everyone I know with a dog has had that happened to them.
They end up with dog turds permanently embedded in their carpet.

No, but I have had neighbours cats piss on everything.

I have had neighbours cats fighting outside my bedroom window after midnight.

I have had neighbours cats kill birds and leave the carcasses all over my back yard.

See the theme here, they are not my cats.

We had a particularly troublesome cat annoying the next door neighbours dog.
Used to sit on the fence while the dog went ape.
The neighbour was plagued by other neighbours complaining about his dog.
But it only ever barked when the damn cat was about.

I caught it in a possum trap.
Took it to the pound
No more barking dog, problem fixed.

If you want cats, and like cats, good for you.
But keep them in your own house, don't let them wander and kill off native animals.
Keep them out of other people's yards.
Possum traps work well.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Hi Valkie,
Yes - neighbors cats can be a real problem especially if they are illegally not neutered.
I hate it when a cat kills a native animal or even a bird.
Cats are not stopped by fences which is a real problem.
I have had cats which are perfect little angels and do nothing wrong.

cheers
Bobby

Pets are a huge responsibility. I had a cat that tore up my leather couches and pissed on the cushions. I will never have another cat except outdoors for rodent control and they can fend for themselves against wildlife. I had boxers that chewed up a door and tore out window screens. At least the dogs crave attention and love you. My favorite boxer provided amazing security and companionship. I miss Rowdy, even after 10 years.

I've had cats and dogs most of my life. Never had a problem with either. All perfectly well behaved. Cats are perfect winter companions, cuddling up on your lap and behaving themselves. Dogs are perfect companions in both winter and summer, being excellent company on walks or runs. None of them ever shat on the front doorstep, none of them pissed all over the house or chewed the furniture or doors. :thumb

My boxers were terrified of loud noises. They freaked out during a thunderstorm while we weren't home. They had a large dog house with insulated walls, a light, and a cooling fan under a large covered patio, but they chose to try to chew their way into the house and dive through window screens. I finally replaced the metal door last month.

You need to buy a scratchy pole for cats
and teach them to scratch that.

We had one. He wouldn't use it. The cat died years ago and I learned my lesson.
