I have owned a couple of boxer engined BMW motorcycles so am well aware of opposed engines.

Both the earlier ones referred to as "air heads" (air cooled) and the later oil heads (partially oil and air cooled)

me neither.
this is not the first time i have seen a big development of something, that has been around for a while.
Seems a great idea, lots of advantages ..........

Then I think, how come it is not being used?
How come toyota and honda do not use it ?

Subaru uses a "boxer" engine some of their cars.

That is the conventional 180 degrees flat 4 stroke motor, such as used in BMW boxer motorcycles, Porche and Subaru cars,

This is entirely different more like a two stroke style of engine, have a look at the OP posts!
